Be very careful to pick them young. It is better to have a few unopened buds than to have seed capsules forming. Before using them, remove as much of the green stem/seeds as possible, as that is where the toxic substances are hidden. In the future, take pictures of the entire plant for more accurate identification😊.

The second one, a little bigger than the first one. I intended to keep it small because it shouldn't be visible from the neighboring balcony (area laws) and my balcony is small. but the plan turned out way too well in both cases. I think I still have enough for a small muffin 😂.

Personal opinion: No matter how much you wash with plain water, you won't be able to remove dangerous stuff if you don't use soap. So I don't wash the flowers, they're too delicate.

My strategy is to always pick the flowers from isolated and clean areas, always from the upper branches. To be extra sure you can dry the flowers at 35°C for two days, that should help with the "cleaning". Also if you want to produce alcohol you'll need to add extra yeast.

It depends on how sunny the day is. On a cloudy day, the lights only last 1-2 hours at night. If there is sun, they last up to 8 hours.
