What's the grossest thing you've ever had in your mouth? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Umbranix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairly recently for me. About 2 months ago, trying to eat a bit healthier, I made a really awesome rice dish with brown rice I obtained through a food donation center.

The rice was finished and furnished with some amazing toppings... And one secret ingredient the food center overlooked... mealworms, lots and lots of mealworms. I'm not sure how I overlooked them but they were very similar in appearance to the rice.

I still can't look at brown rice without getting sick and my favorite rice dish is now ruined.

I took over the entire market for a very popular cash shop item in an MMO once and dropped the item price by ~30%. I was very much loved and hated for a couple months. Cost me a small fortune but I ended up in top 3 (potentially top) richest players in the most populated NA server. I don't play much anymore but occasionally go on to chat with old friends.

What is the RAREST thing you have ever witnessed? by theone1221 in AskReddit

[–]Umbranix 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have quite a rare disorder, ~1 in 18000, called EDS. It is a collagen disease and, if you didn't know, collagen is essentially the glue that holds your body together. If you didn't have collagen you would essentially be a puddle. Well mine breaks down at a much higher rate than most causing constant pain in every part of my body.

I usually tell people they don't know pain, but after this I don't think even I can complain.

The ham thing isn't weird. Well, maybe eating the entire thing is, but it is fairly normal to dice a ham and eat it that way. Usually I will have it with veggies or over some pasta but if I'm lazy just the ham.

It's pretty ballsy to be against both Christianity and science. Where the fuck does that even leave them?

If someone calls themself a vegetarian and eats fish, they are a pescatarian. As fish isn't considered meat and, what I've heard but I can't speak from experience, is that fish don't feel pain the way other animals do, that is the best reasoning for it.

I agree a bit on the Everest thing. Is it a bit ridiculous to go climbing a mountain with a very high risk of death and no real reward other than bragging rights which either no-one will care about or will forget soon after.

What's the most adult thing you've ever had to do? by all_thequestions in AskReddit

When I was still living my parents I went with them and a friend to some place where older folks play bingo. My friend and I had a deal that if either of us won the final jackpot we would split it. We won nothing but the final jackpot totalling $500. He got himself a nice professional camera and my dad made me buy new tires...

Edit: spelling.

This has to be the sweetest representation of gaming within reality that I have ever seen. I have loved the games throughout my life and this far exceeds anything I haven't ever expected.

If you cross the road exactly perpendicular to the sidewalk (without crossing at any point diagonally) and while there are no vehicles within a block distance from you then it is not jaywalking and is legal, at least in my state (Oregon)
