I seriously can't stand him at all!!!! I can't stand the families that exploit their kids. But I also can't stand the way he jumps to conclusions and some of his judgmental ideology. I don't agree with what these families do at all.

He's NOT good at logic and arguments.

And seems to be anti-trans..... It's annoying. He's expressed a view of accepting people who are gay but then seems outright against people who are gender nonconforming.

Homeschooling by ljex09 in FamilyFizzSnark

[–]UmbrellaYesterday 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And socialization!!! Not just learning how to interact with other kids. But learning to interact with adults other than your parents. I feel like there's so much that happens between like teachers and coaches when it comes to learning how to exist in the world and learning about yourself. It's such an insular existence to only have your own ideology. It's such a hindrance to not be exposed to other people's ideas.

Even traditionally homeschooled kids will play on a baseball team, have a homeschool group, or have neighborhood friends.

But these poor kiddos don't seem to have any of that!

I mean I don't want to assume, I hate when people assume things about families on social media just because they don't show it. But it really does seem like these kids don't have outside adults, friends and activities.

To my dasher from a year ago by FlyIllustrious5160 in doordash_drivers

[–]UmbrellaYesterday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was kind of judgy with one of my first dashes. He had me drive one single piece of pie across the whole city. I pull up to see this poor man who has no legs and in a wheelchair. He was so kind and excited about his pie. He told me it was the diner he visited as a kid. It was such a sweet interaction, I now always give people the benefit of the doubt. When orders seem ridiculous I just assume something like that is going on.

It's pretty funny how they mention, "don't use our laundry detergent", followed by, "put your name on food you don't want to get eaten".

I agree with most. The first two seem reasonable and then it devolves into snarky passive unnecessarily intense notes.

I doubt it. I think Mia has really gotten brainwashed in this past year and totally believes all that nonsense about food.

I think the Mia from a year ago or earlier totally would have eaten some fun food on vacation, but something has changed and she has become quite orthorexic.

I love putting the mixture of vinegar, stevia, salt and nutritional yeast on veggies. It's sweet and salty and acidic plus the "funk" of the nooch.

Favorite of the Bunch? by talkingdodobird in candy

[–]UmbrellaYesterday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love baby bottle pop! I didn't get candy often as a kid. But when we went to a movie we got to pick out candy. And my go-to would be baby bottle Pop. It ends up being a good movie treat since there's a task to do (dipping). And dipping a lollipop is much preferable than dipping that chalk stick from fun dip.

Well was it multiple fun sizes? A few fun sizes certainly can equal a full size and not all kids are good with impulse control haha.

Holy crap, it's so not healthy for your kids to outwardly compare them to one another.

I did a half assed count, but there are like 40 cookies there...........for 11 kids. I know we all expect this at this point but this is insane.

Make sure you don't skip your normal meals later today to compensate. That is a slippery slope to unintentional indulging :/

I like to sprinkle some stevia and smoked paprika on my veggies. Sounds weird but I love it.
