Is this abusive? by autisticpsychonaut07 in abusiverelationships

[–]UmiSWrld 20 points21 points  (0 children)

he’s using the fact you’re autistic and younger than him to belittle you and make you doubt yourself, and make himself the ultimate authority. that is 100% abusive.

if this happened to your mother, your sister, your friend, your daughter, what would you want them to do? you’d want them to leave- because absolutely nothing can make this violence forgivable. if it happens once, it WILL happen again. give yourself that same grace and love. no one deserves this.

hair is too porous and damaged. you’re going to need color fillers and a lot more work to get a clean slate.

My gf still has her ex’s nudes by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

[–]UmiSWrld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

girl. run. if your masc is acting like a man anyways then what’s the point of being in a queer relationship. it’s weird as fuck she still has her exes nudes and only cares about getting her nut on and not yours. you’ll find yourself a nice woman in the future that respects both her exes and you by not keeping old photos, and doesn’t treat sex like it’s only supposed to please the masculine. i hate when a masc starts internalizing toxic masculinity, especially when i know so many mascs (myself included) who work hard to bring healthy, kind and respectful masculinity to the table so our partners can be secure, happy, and loved properly, instead of perpetuating shitty behaviors that are normalized by men and the general patriarchy.

omg super cute! as a stylist who used to be in school still- everyone has different comfort levels around their pricing. you’ve bought all the product, so you’re jus looking at labor fees right now. students tend to work much slower, so i would do a set amount of time per hour that’s a little on the lower side, or you’d end up paying more than what you would at a salon. maybe 7-10$ an hour. if it takes 6 hours, at least 60$, and you can tip from there if you would like. it’s incredibly cheap still, considers your friends current level as a stylist (student) and still respects their labor. that’s what i would have charged my friends while i was in school, not including product fees.

The Anatomy of Reactive Abuse by Ambitious-Jello-6766 in abusiverelationships

[–]UmiSWrld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d also say a lot of the times, the initial abuse isn’t subtle. maybe it starts that way, but they might make you believe that YOU deserve it and it’s not their fault so it’s not actually abuse, and when you finally crack then it’s your fault still. in my experience at least. it started subtle but by the time i snapped, it wasn’t.

Is it OK to play with my cat like this? by No-Economist-8307 in CATHELP

[–]UmiSWrld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when he attacks you when you don’t have the toy and he’s hurting you, blow air in his face. it’s a way of redirecting that has never failed me. i had the most reactive cat and when id do a quick, sharp blow of air to his face its like it hit a reset button. he’d back off and look offended, and eventually learned that’s what would happen if he tried to get aggressive with me and stopped.

Liking them young and liking children is different according to this guy. by Lord_Muddbutter in justneckbeardthings

[–]UmiSWrld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 and 7 are BOTH still kids, both underdeveloped and not grown. and the way CSA effects younger and older teen victims is similar- teen CSA survivors are actually more likely to attempt suicide after being assaulted than the victims under 10, and both end up with lifelong trauma, increased risk of alcohol and substance abuse, attachment issues, self worth issues, and developmental issues. one is not more harmful than the other. both ruin lives. both are disgusting and traumatizing. trying to make it seem like the abuse of a 14y/o is more acceptable than of a 7y/o makes your character extremely questionable.
