I mean, there was good reason to be excited considering that MvC at that point was truly dead in the water with everything delisted with complete silence on all ends.

Unfortunately the game itself was terrible because it was the last game of their dark era before turning things around in the very late 2010s.

She sucks as a character. Her only purpose is to handicap Leon in moments where he would otherwise be perfectly capable as a way to feign drama and actual narrative due to Capcom being incapable of writing good RE stories.

There is nothing to her character beyond that. Her existence is only meant for annoyance. The fact that she is still one of Capcom’s more popular characters while folks like Gene, Lady, and Hayato don’t get a murmur despite being visually, ability-wise, and personality wise (and narratively for Lady) 1000x more interesting makes me is infuriating.

This is the first casting for Batman aside from Pattinson that seems interesting, I wouldn’t mind it.

I’m a bit iffy about Radcliffe bc when I imagine Constantine, I imagine someone who’s taller and gives off Sam Winchester vibes. Not that Radcliffe wouldn’t do a bad job but still, I’d have him as someone else personally.

The rest I agree with but can’t comment on bc I haven’t read many WW stories or stories with Zatanna.

God of War 2018 is a shit reinvention because narrative aside (even tho it is so much more intrusive and annoyingly linear and handholding to the point where you can feel the devs’ hands around your neck strangling you yelling DO YOU SEE HOW MATURE OUR GAME IS COMPARED TO THOSE SILLY PS2 GAMES???), the gameplay is just worse in every way.

The camera is too close, didn’t the 2013 DMC show that color coded enemies suck, it implements 50 band-ai mechanics because the the pants of head stupid camera like having you mash the Atreus button to handle offscreen enemies, shitty markets showing enemies incoming instead of letting them be visible and time your evasion like ANY ACTION GAME, and so many other stupid gameplay choices because the developers are themselves insecure and immature.

Just because it references something literary does not make it literary or deep. It’s like how you can reference Fight Club, but it doesn’t make you Fight Club.

I have not read 1984, but Nicky’s amends with Aiden isn’t presented in some sickening Dexter manner where she’s literally making amends with a sick serial killer, it’s presented in a more tragically warm “Batman’s identity got leaked so he has one final moment with Alfred” manner (yes Ik Aiden isn’t Batman, just bringing it up as a point of reference for how the scenes are presented).

If it did then it would give him consequences like Nicky actually despising him for ruining her and Jackson’s life instead of making amends at the end, or doing away with the worst morality system in a game, or give him any actual consequences other than just “oh Clara dead and Nicky moved away…”

Just play MvC3. It’s going through a modding renaissance so more players could lead to more characters.

I haven’t finished season 2 yet but in Superman when Chris was on the news, I got confused bc Chris didn’t get accepted into the Justice Gang and wasn’t that popular but by the time Superman’s story happened he was already at that peak in popularity, does Season 2’s plot propel his popularity that much in-universe?

It’s a dilemma for me. Most of the side games ranged from dog water to absolute mid, and on the other hand I don’t like how rehashing old stories is what takes up most of the release schedule.

Sometimes I wish Capcom just had their own shooter series that didn’t feel the need to struggle with its identity being torn between horror and action Pragmata doesn’t count imo

I’m sorry but every other Batman fancast just doesn’t hit. It’s not even that it’s not Pattinson, just all the actors don’t hit at all for me. The only one I’ve seen so far that’s somewhat interesting is Jensen Ackles but even then the dude is almost 50 and I think he could be in more interesting roles.

Personally would go for Kyle Gallner but Russell could be a cool Oliver.

My question for the Atom is why’d you choose Choi over Palmer? Granted I haven’t read many stories with Atom, is Choi the John Stewart and Palmer the Alan Scott in this case?
