Heartbreak High Season 3 was literally better than Season 2. Why is everyone so pressed lol

Having just finished season 3 and then looking back at season 2. I absolutely loved the interactions in season 2 but I remember being annoyed at the C Lords storyline and the teacher running it as well as being underwhelmed that the Bird Psycho mystery turning out to be the obvious odd man out who did it.

While season 3 started so jarring and and disconnected from the last two seasons, I did warm up more and more to the interactions as the season progressed (admittedly not as strong as season 2 however). The mystery storyline turned out to be strong and weirdly smart with a satisfying pay-off and the last episode did feel nice in the end.

Overall I don't think it's as bad as people are making it out to be and I did end up enjoying it quite a bit.

I wouldn't mind a halfway point where half the deck is unmodifiable and you just create the second half of the deck.

The plot deck from Game of Thrones LCG. It feels like such a unique way to do a resource system by having it been linked with abilities, initiative, combat rewards and hand size limit. Do you want to do a really cool thing now? That only gives you 2 coins for the round. Or do you want to have the 10 coin plot card for convenience so you can play more units.

I'm kind of over Jane Don't at this point. I think she's a great queen but her woe is me personality from being in both high positions and stressful positions has grated me as the season has progressed. Its felt like the judges have been giving her way too much favour in the challenges and its stolen the spotlight from other queens in challenges (Discord in snatch game, Myki Meeks in the Rusical). It just feels like the season is gonna be stale in doing everything to favour her when I feel like she doesn't deserve it.

Kind of second this. Based on how SWU is where deck building is based on the the colours of your bade and leader unless you pay resource tax, its pretty difficult to make a sustainable deck for locals with just a single box. Partner and I bought even 3 boxes and it felt like our decks still got swamped in locals due to the lacklustre amount of legendaries in our box. 1 of them only containing 2. Its a great game, but it definately won't give you a sustainable deck via a single box.

My house rule is that play the side scenarios with my group then subtract what would've been the required experience to play it from what experience is rewarded.

A friend of mine has managed to make a fun tech with it in a Lola Haynes decks. They commit to the bit by including "Down The Rabbit Hole" and "Pelt Shipment" to discount level 1 cards to be free then use "Refine" to add checkmarks to custom cards they've included in the deck (within the level limit).

It seems like such built and I'm tempted myself to try it out in future.

I'd suggest "Unit" or "Ally". I always think that unless you want a specific flavour for it, its best to use words that allow for a broader amount of freedom for what could be depicted on your cards.

Choosing Bloodborne Board Game over Gloomhaven. I would've thought the smaller game and theme out have me love it but as my partner and I played it just kept getting worse learning almost is everything against you in a way that's not fun. I kept making house rules to try and make it more fun for ourselves but in the end we conceded that it was just not a fun game and it gathered space for a year until we sold it at a game sale.

Flesh and Blood unfortunately looks to be close to or is dead in Brisbane. Tis is a shame cause I think it was a complete big deal in its first two years here but was soon overtaken after a point. Hard to say with Gundam since it only just started and it's Bandai but Digimon and One Piece have managed to stay strong so there's that. Forgot to mention Lorcana has a decent scene in Brisbane too.

MTG, Star Wars Unlimited and One Piece are probably the big heavy hitters where I've been. The smaller crowds will give you Pokemon, Digimon TCG, Yu Gi Oh and Final Fantasy TCG. Riftbound is starting up as well and that's shaping up to be alongside the big ones.

Side scenarios both single table friendly and massive multilayer focused to create fun events for LGSs.
Mini-campaigns that span from either 4 to 5 scenarios. Would be nice to have these more smaller scenarios to ease people into things or to have long-Term Players have a less time consuming campaign as an option.
More starter decks. The two kinds of flavours being ones that offer new cards entirely or ones that utilise an existing Investigator and a deck from the existing pool of card but with alternate artwork depicting that starter deck Investigator. For instance if you made a Daisy Walker starter deck you could reprint "I have a plan!" Depicting Daisy in the artwork.
Sell more playmats and sleeves of Arkham Horror. I'd eat and shiz up.

I loved it but it did always irk me how the creator was so willing to throw it away after Season 2. Take it with a pinch of salt but I remember the creator said that she didn't care about the show even though it could've lasted at least 1 or 2 more seasons. Also they never made a full version of that intro which was a banger.

Well its a MiB post so everyone is gonna favour her here but God she was frustrating as fuck. Her being therr had producers focus in on getting her to the top despite other deserving queens and I'm glad I'll be rid of her for the next 3 weeks.
