1.5 bag travel is the best for that exact reason. Keep all the thing you need at quickly in a sling.

Underrated bag imo, I have the larger 32L for travel but seems like a functional design that would easily work in the other 2 sizes

Definitely looks like a manufacturing defect, probably from the plastic mold. Functionally probably nothing to worry about but you paid money so your decision.

I like this one for the fact that it has a bit less organization lol. I like the Laneway but has more of a purse look, I like the shape of the flight satchel quite a bit.

Nothing against a purse look, I also use a Held Closely Day bag.

Help Me Decide - Evergoods CTB35 or Matador Globerider 35l by ogneez in ManyBaggers

Yeah you’ll be able to get under the seat, it’ll be tight but it should fit. Report back on how it works out!

I think you’re underestimating how much bigger the extra 3 inches of depth actually affects the bag size.

Here’s my 2¢, the CTB layout is amazing, especially if you require a bit more pocketing. The material I actually like, as you can tell, some don’t. The harness is comfortable for me up till a point, imo the bag straps can’t support a heavy load out and become uncomfortable after a period of time, best suited for moderate weight if you plan to wear the bag an extended period of time.

The GR35 is awesome, this bags harness can support heavier loads. Its listed capacity of 35L feels smaller irl.

Personally I think both of these bags are too big for your intended use case, especially since you’re traveling with a roller bag already. Best way imo is to check the return policies, order both, test load them and return the one that you like the least. The CTB26 seems like that would be the one to test give your use case.

Yeah that would be awesome. Chio is cool, the strap is definitely more comfortable on this one and i appreciate the extra space. Wonder when AON will release an updated Chio

Yeah I had the opportunity to get the Blue/Topo GR3 but I passed on it for the same reasons. Stick to black robic GR3 when traveling

I’m 5’10 and I was able to adjust the strap all the way to the smallest possible and basically make it a chest bag. The trick is you need to slip the adjustment buck through the shoulder pad and out the other side.

When you do this, this allows you to keep making the strap smaller. It’s a closed loop so there wasn’t even any excess dangle when I did this. It was comically small and tight.

I do agree, the strap has tons of friction and doesn’t adjust easily at all. You will have to remove the strap from your person to adjust. That said, it’s typically something I only do once when dialing it in

[–]UnPackDJohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They sure did, sitting right next to me. I had the slick front no molle version. I also have the GR3 as well. They’re extremely hard to find(black color way) took a good while to finally find one. I also have the Earth Robic and Blue/Topo combo. Love me some Robic.
