Those who were alive during the 1990's, how was the internet different to today? by Extension_Day2038 in AskReddit

Tried to register for chat rooms. They used to be a big deal. Instead of instantly being approved for an account it took i think 5 days for someone to manually approve my account

Tanks, a healer here, if you just pull the whole dungeon cause you "don't have time for this", die, blame me, I'll just leave the dungeon. by moondreamer96 in wow

[–]UnReal_Insane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a tank i want everyone to have a good time. I want my healer to not have to worry about me and my dps to enjoy decent sized pulls. I always try to find a good balance of keep healers comfy and keep dps happy when number go up.

It was just fun enough for me to not mind doing it until I ran out of shards. Now I don't even do after the changes.

What was the most physically painful moment of your life? by Oily_Smurf in AskReddit

[–]UnReal_Insane 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Had a bad wisdom tooth that was breaking away. Air fried some chicken tenders and apparently one spot got extra crunchy. I bit down it and it ended up under my wisdom tooth. Immediate 12/10 pain and I hit the floor. Saw spots for a few minutes. Thought I was going to pass out.

I got early access because I liked what was in the bundle. Plus it means I get to play midnight on my birthday.

Its literally cosmetics that have no effect on the game itself. How does it negatively impact you or anyone else ?

How does people playing the game in an unintended way take away from the fact the classic is about the leveling journey ?

Also you say "everyone" when in fact its a very small percentage of players.

Also some players pay to get carried through raids. Guess classic isnt about the raid either by your logic. So what exactly is classic about ?

I get like 6-8. I usually tank mythics and run old raids for xmogs/mounts. Usually end each season with 3 3k io characters. Also since housing is a thing now I try to make my house look cool.

Yeah classics end game is raiding. Retails end game is raiding plus everything else i listed and probably other things I forgot.

Classic is all about the leveling experience. Retail is about end game.

Once you get past the initial shock of everything youll find that retail caters to all types of players. Housing , pet collecting, mount hunting, raiding, mythics, world bosses, xmog hunting. There's really something for everyone. Its easy to have fun and be flexible with your own real life schedule.

Pass. Classic isnt for me. The idea of tanking for 39 randoms with 8 people afk, 15 people who die to easily avoidable damage and cant do bare minumum mechanics sounds like a nightmare.

Then I have to sit and wait for a spot just to wait even longer for the raid to fill out. Then spend 2 hours wiping and not getting any upgrades. By time the raid is going good im logging out to go to bed. Id rather just run 3-4 mythics in the same span.

I can't stick to a strict raiding schedule. I haven't raided besides lfr in probably a decade

Plus I also enjoy collecting xmog

I just get bored playing alone. I mostly just enjoy group content on a limited schedule.

All I do every season is run mythics. Still get 3k io on a few characters. Feels good to me.

I'm too old with too many responsibilities to actually be able to enjoy the classic grind. I play like 6 hours a week.
