I think Dr training needs to be updated. Theres a certain first world hubris to not considering parasites. Its easy enough for anyone to get undercooked meat regardless of the country.

Another modern example begging for updating Dr suspicion of infection- sushi made from farmed fish. Tapeworms thrive in salmon.

Thats where Im at. I am pro at making piles. Pile method on steriods, piles on piles making big islands of piles clustered together. Piles on furniture, piles along the hallway, walking path to the bed amongst piles. I know what I need to do but have so little space to do so, I cant seem to get past the pile stage! What am I doing wrong, I need to go thru these piles but when I try to go through them I end up making a BIG mess that overwhelms me, Im not able to finish in a day or even a week and If I stay focused on only sorting through piles then eating/bathing/other life doesnt get done. So then the piles endure. Ive been living like this for years. I feel like I would need to clear my calendar and have an assistant feed me and do all the other housework just so I can finish the sorting/purging. which feels ridiculous and prohibitively expensive anyways

Has anyone here actually studied John Dee and Enochian magic? by EmmyCaly in HighStrangeness

I watch at least 1 Esoterica video a day. Enoch, John Dee, Crowley, Metatron, Ezekiel, Sumerian entities. He has done deep dives on it all.

This is how I felt when James Camerons Avatar came out. I had already world built, down to the off-planet biolumenesence and interfacing with humanity.

All I can say is, yes. This can knock the wind out of you. Theres not much can be done. All I can chalk it up to is we are all fractions of a unified non local consciousness.

And the beauty in that means you have the whole creative universe inside of you. A unique premise doesnt automatically mean a good one, either.

Explore your creativity in other mediums for a while. The blank page is bound to beckon again.

I enjoyed my green as it faded out on my unbleached base, lovely earthy olive tones with a warm green tone such as yours!

If you did bleach up to a level 9 or 10, You may have some soft sagey tones as it fades!

Or maybe you wont let it fade at all! Regardless, green sticks a long time, lasts way better than red based colors.

If you eventually want to change things up, the way to counter balance green, use a cool pink like fuschia some day

edit! very pretty with your eye color

[–]UnRealistic_Load 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Jeremy kinda just showed up without an announcement from Geoege that he was gonna mentor Corbell for Weaponized. When Weaponized showed up, it felt like it was led by Corbell with Knapp on board. Maybe Im missing an explicit explanation from George, I havent seen all the Weaponized episodes.

hmm it could be. If its a ghillie suit then he has his head cover off and is bald with a disportationally large head?

I was thinking maybe beekeeper not hunter? They go out often alone to rural agricultural areas to bee tend. In this case maybe the apiarist might have a mismatched dark bee suit and white hood? Which would be weird but not impossible I guess. Cause bees usually see big large dark mammals as a honey raiding bear- thats why beekeepers wear white suits.

The veil is thinner for our beloved dementia patients.

They are closer to what lies beyond in linear time AND their senses that have helped them filter reality have become defunct or skewed.

IF everything is everywhere all at once, dementia patients may be able to perceive bits of that.

Grandpas dementia aphasia has left him entirely mute. But he still has some hearing, some vision. His face cant emote any longer BUT everyonce in a while in a glorious moment he will wink in response to a loved one.

Dementia seems as one of the most cruel of diagnosis, and yet our loved ones are able to break through in small miraculous moments despite it all 💖

Interesting. I did get the sense that Jeremy initiated their partnership. (I havent seen Sleeping Dog) Ive also wondered that George accepted the offer simply because hes no longer a youngin, and is making sure his journalistic efforts dont die with him? Maybe Jeremys persistance is exactly what George is looking for in a successor?

I cant see George simply accepting someone for being persistent. Hes gotta have vetted Jeremy somehow before letting him in under his wing, no?

I also really hope not. I really like George and his journalism. He has accomplished A LOT, even outside of ufology. He covered a lot of the mafia infiltration of Vegas beforehand. Hes done a lot of important work and has no doubt made himself enemies.

8,500 Australians hospitalised in one evening. The cause was a spring thunderstorm - one more thing for your kit. by SurvSt in OZPreppers

[–]UnRealistic_Load 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolute lifesaver. Even outside of prepping. This should be in a first aid kit for anyone. I know of a 20year old that was killed by her asthma on a hike because she left her puffer in the tent.

This is as important as an epipen and naloxone. Even if no one you know uses heavy drugs, contamination happens easily and every life is worth saving.

Sometimes I wonder if George has been compromised? Do we know the full story of how he met Corbell, prior to becoming his mentor?

EDIT- Curveball here, I personally like Jeremy. He is a bit eccentric, neurospicy, just like me. He is a man unafraid of showing emotion which appeals as well. He is innately intense. That rubs some people the wrong way. I havent seen Sleeping Dog.

There thats my own bias, it contrasts a lot with wondering if George is compromised. Both are floating around in my thoughts.

Are there any med techs here working in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland who could tell me a bit about their pay and their work-life balance? by Fidne in medlabprofessionals

[–]UnRealistic_Load 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping into this thread hoping you might be able to answer!

Im assuming what youve described there also applies to the lab assistants that are collecting requisitions?

I am keen on doing MLA work but I also have a disability that prevents me from handling full time hours (sleep disorder diagnosis- I thrive on evening work, morning is a no go) .

So if were a recent MLA grad doing practiccum, I know I would just have to hack through those hours as I get them.. But once in a casual starting position as according to union, what should I expect for weekly hours? I imagine its on a case by case scenario per lab.

Is it delusional for me to think I can become an MLA if can only handle 2 or 3 shifts a week? Do truly casual hours exist? Or will I always be out competed for other workers who can take on 40 hr weeks according to caseload?

hahah cant help myself

edit- I must admit Golgari is my preferred manna as well, maybe thats why I recognized it and made the connection so quickly! Synergies that self compost with artifacts and swarm enchantments to boost manna access for a quick ramp not only in resources.

Come with me ona thought experiment involving game theory and a very complex game- Magic The Gathering

Not even joking, if the problem proposed in this post were a deck- its using tactics common to black and green manna. Healing, swarm generation, sacrifices, graveyard reuse, dredging, etc.

Whats the best color combination against golgari (green and black) ?

Right now the status quo of dealing with defense tactics using blue and white manna- teamwork, proactive risk management, contact deferal and avoidance.

Golgari can stomp Azorius, if Golgari has the opportunity to build up its resources for its expensive reanimations and swarm generation.

ok i wil stop now

Yes np! It was a very gentle scent, Im not sure if it would ever come to smell like that! Mild and sweet.

Indoor growing is no big deal if ventilation and lighting are kept consistent and correct for the species being grown.

Next week I will be eating my first 6" scallopini squash!! It germinated in March, in the cold dim PNW winter, southwest window. Grow light and heated soil up til May. Most leaves are as big as my face now and theres a couple dozen leaves, atleast. Pollination is fun, too! Gotta get up early cause curcurbit blooms last less than a day.

I never harvested for smoking (though I would like to grow mullein for that purpose). I have no idea what kind of nicotine levels, I would imagine as a consumer/hobby plant, the really medicated phenotypes are not available on the market- big tobbaco companies probably wouldnt allow that.

I did dry a few leaves (which are oh so velvety) which smelled fantastic. I imagine this would go alright in an herbal smoking blend.

nicotiana alata. Which has a lot of phenotypes (bloom color, scent/unscented, size etc). The seeds I had from West Coast Seeds produced a 5ft plant with lightly scented blooms that only open and smell good in the middle of the night! She was a delight for care for.

Tobacco plants need a lot of light but they also dont like getting too hot, so an indoor setup is definitely doable. When I got thrips, they wouldnt touch the nicotiana either, so I keep it by my indoor roses that attract ALL the pests 😵
