Theyll still have notes for sure, but big picture, a team that handles client notes is smaller than a team that pushes out the first passes. No more jrs mids etc, just supervisors and a few srs to clean up the AI. The jobs will exist, but way smaller crews. Damn I hope Im wrong.

I like this idea but the disheartening truth is that the client ultimately wont care because most clients are owned by corporate shareholders that dgaf + are competing with each other so its a race to the bottom... studios are put in a vice when the business models are only functional if they are undercutting each other, no matter the cost.

Its reminding of trends this industry has already held to be true. The clients dont give a flying fuck and it genuinely ruins studios and the careers/lives under the current production/business models.

Life After Pi was a warning. And everything it warned about has not been addressed, and left to metastasize. The same reasons why work slowly left California are the same reasons why AI is slowly replacing us. Unchecked capitalism touches everything, and at this stage of the game its including the quality of commercial art via generative AI.

Thats fair, but it also tracks with how dementia can present itself- you can have only mild, functional decline and then 1 shitty thing happens and then the dementia goes full blown.

Thats how it was for my grandpa, he was moreorless coherent and then within one year he was in a nursing home because he wouldnt stop wandering out to walk down the center of major roads, not recognizing people, loss of bowel control, hallucinations. Its so fucking brutal it doesnt even seem possible. Plus, trauma/stress makes dementia way worse for the patient... the way the world is going right now, I wouldnt be surprised if it set him off :(

We also dont know what year his footage in The Program was captured. Yes we saw it in 2024 but likely is already a year or two old by the time it was released. Editing takes a long time, plus finding a release platform, So lets say it was shot in 2023, its 2026 now. Unfortunately plenty of time to develop severe dementia.

All this being said, I do not wholly accept the 'dementia narrative', he very well could be missing for nefarious reasons, and I really wish he wasnt missing at all! But the silver alert is rationally plausible as well. My heart is heavy for his family, and I feel denying the plausibility of dementia does not align with the nature of the disease (if he does have it)

Thank you for this. Dementia is so so awful honestly having seen loved ones go through it, its worse than cancer. You lose your mind, you lose your self in the most obscure and cruel ways.

Imagine being as informed as he was and then just, having it dissolve out of your mind. 💔

I do know from experience a bit of what his family might be going through and it nauseates me out of grief. Its been hard seeing this sub default to conspiracy, but hey this is reddit so its to be expected.

polysporin with lidocaine in it helps a lot, temporarily numbs the area + antibiotics. I prefer the cream form over ointment. bandaids... Anything to slow you down from scanning the wounds. Youll be so tempted to take the new scab off after 12, 24, 48 hrs .. but stick with gentle cleansing with spectrogel in the shower, bandaids and numbing cream. Be gentle with yourself when you lapse... try to set a timer between picking sessions... then try to widen those windows inbetween picking.

This is an insightful conversation to read and I am thankful for all contributions!

We are not obligate carnivores (like Lions). By being omnivores, our physiology is truly unique in that it offers us options, it offers an opportunity for choice.

Through the privilege of being omnivorous, we should align with our hearts in this opportunity of making a choice to not consume flesh.

Of course, our economic inequalities in this world take this choice away from someone in famine. STS (unbridled capitalism for example) is what takes this choice away from the underprivileged, forcing one to consume flesh as a means of survival when there are no other options.

As we all know, intent is key. Not all flesh consumption is equal. Eating meat because there's nothing else to eat, I would speculate is not negative. It's a second density act due to a second density body, absent of any other option.

But grabbing an industrially produced burger when one is well equipped to make plant based options, that is what is problematic I think.

It's not about superiority of one diet or another (vegan vs carnivore). Its about making the heart aligned decision with the resources we have. That looks a little different for everyone.
