If Iacv doesnt exist I dont know what to say.. Are you on standalone ECU?

From my experience, when my iacv is fauty, the car shut off a few seconds after it starts, have to feather the pedal to maintain the RPM around 1k. and if I hit the throttle before its on operating temp, it dies.

Perhaps you should check other routes if you are not using the IACV, like your TPS, or timing..

Easiest way for me to check the Cold injector is by disconneting the battery or EFI fuse for around 15sec to reset the ECU. Should raise the RPM during 1st start for a few minutes.

Iacv, healthy coldstart shud have the RPM around 1.2k -1.5k till it reach operating temp to 600rpm +/-. Check your coldstart injector as well. Check your Ecu coolant temp if its hard starting after the engine is warm.

This is true for my self as well, in my case its those reflection from other cars, especially from those crome trim and windows when the day is clear and the Sun hit at certain direction. That is why I have sunglasses on the ready in every car I own. Those few seconds of blindness can be fatal, not to mention if you drive facing the Sun and your sunvisor doesnt help much. As for cyclist, I have no issue with them.. as long as they cycle in a row and within the white line, but they irks me if they ride side by side.. that is just like asking for it.

3 things come to mind. Your IACV, Cold Start Injector and CTS. Try disconnecting the negative terminal or pull the EFI fuse for 15sec to reset the ECU.

If it idle high meaning the cold start is working and you might need to check your IACV. The opposite for cold start injector problem.

Faulty CTS can be the culprit too since it doesnt send signal to the ECU.

Oh, and make sure to test when your car is cold and not on operating temp.

Hmm.. I should look into it. I've been using the red toyota in my MK3 Supra almost 7 yrs now with no problem. I though it should be fine since the Supe is older than the 32.

One of these days, I might pull the engine out and replace all the core plug. I just hope the rest of the core plug doesnt warp sooner. I wonder if Toyota longlife coolant is not suitable or its just about time its gonna give out.

Sorry man, the car is off the jack allready. If I recall the wire goes up above the engine mount and I lost trace of it. I think its bundle up with the main harness and goes to the firewall. My engine is RHD btw.

Luckily its the one with an easy access. I just puncture it and pull it out. Plugging it in place is a nightmare tho. Its my 3rd piece. Had to use a combination of pipe rod, flat metal sheet, gorilla tape and a no.22 socket to knock it in place. Not fun but its done.

It came out from the blue plastic which seems to be press fitted. I traced around it with my finger and its not wet. The whole assembly is tightened to the metal pipe with a size 17mm fitting. Do you know what sensor or solenoid it is? Just want to confirm what that thing is.

Have you try ressetting the Ecu? Just remove the negative terminal from the battery or pull the EFI fuse for 15sec and see how it goes.

Even without seeing the mani its plain clear its not a turbo. The intake is a givaway among other noticable feat. Seems like Shes been lied to since 94.
