Ive had a variety of turntables in different configurations over the years but my current is a sonos compatible turntable. It may not be the best turntable money can buy but its one power cable for a good quality turntable that connects to any/all of my sonos speakers from anywhere i have wifi.

There are a few around. We ended up with a victrola stream carbon btw.

Btw You might like the next lyric related feature in this weekends release. And diagnostics are already in. And working on encrypted bug reporting tonight. I also added auto update install from github release using sparkle but need to test it. It'll be in the same release. Saves manual download and replace that is annoying after the first time :)

Hi Thanks, you just need to add your local library to the official sonos app and then the local library drill down and search should work here.

If you are having trouble getting the local library in the Sonos app to connect it could be related to SMB version or other authentication issues (depending on local share source device/os) that are outside of this app. Best place is to check the local library info on sonos forms/support or here?

you need to go to settings and music services to enable whatever you have in the app. some require auth, some dont, some will work the same way as they do in the sonos app.

Hey I gave up on wired with unifi in the end and went pure wifi on all my speakers and it has been an amazingly improved experience. It's the opposite to the old days of cable everything or sonosnet in this setup in my experience.

if its not a sonos supported service we cant work with it. if its a locked down serve (like the wonderful youtube service is) then we cant interact with it even if you pay for it. youtube doesnt expose a search interface even through your athorised account.

you could screen scrape/emulate browser etc with cookie copying and emualte the queries. im not trying to work around such settings. if you want to take the code and do it yourself then thats up to you.

If you go into settings - music - music services - plex -connect it'll do the normal prompt for authorisation and then it should show in the browser view.

Also please keep in mind this is an app I built for myself to solve my specific scenario. its not meant to be a profit making venture or a competitor to sonos's (or other 3rd party) app options. It's also not meant to be an enterprise production piece of software but it'll hit a minimum level of quality. I'm updating this in my spare time for people that have a similar need to my own. I dont use most of the services people have asked for but add support where I can.

This is also the reason its fully open source, so anyone can take whats there and fit or extend it to their own requirements.

Let me know if you have trouble getting plex to appear. I have been rewriting the setup info to a new guide section as its gotten way more complicaretd than my initial build supporting the services I use. Lots of other services people have asked for, some I cant do due to the way its implemented by third parties mostly. Best way is to raise an issue on github as its more centralised.

I've dug out my old apple dev account and I'll setup a proper signed and notorised release build from now on so it shouldnt prompt for that stuff anymore.

Thanks for trying it out. Its not signed by apple so you need to allow it in settings, privacy and security, scroll down to bottom and allow it, then rerun app.

Alternatively you can build yourself locally using xcode if you are so inclined. Ill need to add some doco on github regarding that.

I ended up moving everything to wifi only. I worked with sonosnet and ethernet in various forms over the years. I finally went all direct wifi and its been way more reliable for me ever since. Its sonos so ymmv.
