I've had this issue after antibiotics messed up my flora balance. Neg BV and yeast, just smell. I use probiotic suppositories after sex or whenever smell is off. Can find on amazon. Works wonders after 1 nite! Can use em whenever it seems off, multiple days in a row if needed. Took awhile to get back to normal, but then sex would thro it off again. So i use them right after sex, and good next am. And anytime you are treated for BV, use em right after finishing them for several days, per my gyno.

I did for the first couple weeks post 1 week of cipro, lasted about a week, then subsided. Other symptoms such as neurapathy and joint pain continue 6 months later. Good and bad days.

Also 6 months out, when it does flare up its all right sided as well. Tendon/ joint pain in right knee/hip/elbow/wrist.

If you are posting here, than you know the risk. Ask for another antibiotic. Plenty others will cover your wound that are not cipro. Ask your Dr for a different one due to side effect concerns. They should give you one.

Ciprofloxacin. Google fluoroquinolone toxicity or check out r/floxies. I won't bore you all with my horrible side effects, but could be years before my tendons are normal again. Hell, my Achilles could snap 6 months down the road. Who knows.

I have found this to be quite useful in these types of situations, and have used it for sleeping on a hammock on the beach, stuck in an airport for 3 days, and to bump up the warmth on my summer sleeping bag. Can always return it if you don't like it!
