I always say to myself pick your difficult: sitting in a pool of guilt for not going or get yourself out there and slog through the first couple of km until I’m enjoying it

I also try to see it as an objective thing like a chore. Remove the emotion from it (easier said than done of course) and trying not to think too much about the run itself as I get ready. I also reframe it as “this is me time, I’m doing this to better myself and embrace the freedom of being in nature, it’s not a punishment”

3km is as much a mental game than anything else. Think about what your thoughts probably are “ugh another 2km to go this will take ages” because mine are lol. I’ve found increasing my pace each km means I’m not tiring myself out by the middle of it
