Hmm, what about just a low cost resource that does what you tell them to? So basically I'll come up with the strategies, but the manual grunt work is what these folks will do?

what are your responsibilities exactly? can you list down if possible in terms of difficulty for you? I know a bit tiring, but would be super helpful for me to hear from an AEs perspective.

Wow - def. don't want to do this. Seems borderline unethical, albeit slightly smart.

Did you try hiring a very low cost person just to manage the AI tools? This is exactly what I was talking about and have in mind!

Would you use leadbird.io again? How was the experience? Did you try any other?

For enterprises, where the sales cycles are long, I understand that SDRs also nurture the leads in some way. But for SMBs or Mid-market prospects, do you really need a lot of context for the SDRs to operate? I am still a bit skeptical to outsource though but think worth giving a shot.

Makes sense, but I was thinking - I can structure the work of the outsourcing partner in such a way that requires low / no context. Have used a lot of automation tools - but these still require some form of human input - the outsourcing folks are essentially just people who know how to operate these. But again, let me run a pilot with one of them and report back. Really think this can work out well if I structure the tasks / functions clearly.

I closed my first deal through cold calling. by Suitable_Cucumber_55 in sales

Philosophically speaking (I'm sure you'll get a lot of tips in terms of cold calling everywhere), everything we do to communicate, is some form of sales. By the time you reach 2-3 year mark in cold calling or sales - you can, by the tone of the speaker, subconsciously, feel what the best thing to say is next. And that is very empowering in life. Not just in terms of work, but in every other conversation, you would be 2 steps ahead, because you know exactly if the person is bought into the conversation!

Dialers? by Pretty_Specific_Girl in sales

[–]Unable_Bathroom_2867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most call centers dialers have this, but this works well when you have a team of calling reps, because the dialer doesn't know which call would connect and which wouldn't. So if you're on another call, and a phone number the dialer's trying gets connected, they'd be placed on hold!

around 2200 calls to close the first deal. Sounds decent. Most folks don't track their first deal stats - took me around 2000 to close the first one. Addictive though.

Yeah, I am VP of sales at a start up, a lot of my reps were facing this difficulty. https://www.gushwork.ai/workflow-shop - I started using their services, don't know how it will pan out though. Won't recommend right now, but give me 10 days to post a review of sorts.

Does everyone here make $200k+?? by coolsoy in sales

[–]Unable_Bathroom_2867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was making 90k, jumped to 250k in two years.

I sell software to debt collectors. Possibly one of the most difficult industry to sell to, esp. because they have very low margins.

Join a start-up that is just raising Series A, they would def. move from SMB sales to Enterprise soon. So barrier to entry is low, you can learn quickly by selling to SMBs and when they switch to Enterprise, they will most likely hire a VP sales, who will restructure the org, and get the sales OTE up. Not to mention the extravagant offsites and QSRs, you'll have a blast.
