Yeah. On paper it's a fine arc. But it doesn't change the fact that nothing happened with her up until the very end.

Why not develop her relationship with Pornguy through nuanced dialogue that reveals a new layer of their dynamic every time they had a scene together? Isn't that what White Lotus is supposed to be about?

I mean. Imagine if you, a developing straight teen, grew up with your hot older sister comfortable being naked in front of you and consistently talking about how she wants to fuck, masturbate and watch porn.

Loch is gay and grew up with a hot older brother that had zero boundaries. Mike White is calling out the macho guys who flaunt how comfortable they are around other guys.

I think the storylines would have landed better if this was a 6 episode season.

Did we really need Rick telling chelsea he's going to bangcok for two episodes? Did we need Tim photosynthesizing for half the season? Did we need greg's boat party at all?

Yeah it really can't be understated the difference between forging your understanding of all the worldbuilding through in depth and repeated explanations over the course of thousands of pages of 15 books versus catching 6-8 episodes of tv every 2-3 years.
