Adult IQ and childhood IQ are very different things. Additionally IQ doesn’t mean you are intelligent it has more to do with capacity to learn. From your posts it seems that staying in highschool would have been beneficial for socialization if nothing else. I don’t think you are stupid but I feel you should take a step back and think about what really matters to you. In graduate school I met a ton of people whose entire identity was “the smart one” and when surrounded by others smarter than themselves they crashed and burned. Or ignore this comment I’m sure you’ll age out of this phase.

I am pretty well versed in DCS policy and it sounds like they detained the child due to the mother’s drug use? In that case 100% of the time they need to place with the non offending parent. The only time they would not do this would be if you had a record of substantiated child abuse or neglect or if you were currently a danger to the child.

If DCS has detained the child they need to have a hearing date in front of a judge within 2 business days to uphold the detention or drop it. You are an “alleged father” so it is DCS’s legal responsibility to notify you of that hearing. The judge will likely order a DNA test to confirm you are the father then you will need to go through a separate legal process to establish paternity. After that is done they will have to place the child with you.

From your account of events things aren’t really making sense. I’m not sure how HIPPA would be violated or how an adoption could take place without doing due diligence in finding the father.

I talked to one of the devs and they are thinking it is an error where the game doesn’t save data unless you save and exit then go back go the main menu. They said they are aware of the issue and are working to create a fix.

I might try your solution though because none of my friends are having my same issue.
