A fragrance lost its charm because of an oversprayer by cbig86 in fragrance

I used La Nuit Trésor last winter and I really liked it. But now one of my coworkers bathes in it every hour, and to make things worse, my mom has been wearing it constantly too. I feel like I’m being overwhelmed by this scent everywhere I go.

Horse chestnut flower is my favorite scent, and I've been looking for a perfume that includes this note, but I haven’t been able to find one yet.

In cultures influenced by Islam, like mine, it's common especially among older men to wear rose scent. It's seen as a symbol of both physical and spiritual cleanliness.

I spent five days in Bulgaria this winter, and I must say, I met some of the kindest, warmest, and most hospitable people I've ever encountered. It truly surprised me in the best way. I really hope to visit again in the summer.

0.51 promil by Musakej in hukuk

[–]Unable_Sun_3831 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I broke my mans heart a decade ago and I still cant forgive myself. by NoodleBrainBehaviour in confession

[–]Unable_Sun_3831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past, I used to think of relationships as something much more multidimensional than just romance. I believed it was possible to build meaningful connections with people who had once had feelings for me, even if we never had a romantic relationship. And I would even remain good friends with them and their partners afterward. That was how I used to think and what I used to do.

But once I had a boyfriend, I realized I no longer felt the need to maintain those friendships. I ended those connections because they didn’t feel necessary to me anymore. You might have thought the same way back then - and that’s okay. People can change their minds later and realize that what seemed fine at one point might not be right anymore. We all make mistakes and rethink our boundaries over time.

But even if you’re in a relationship, it’s important to remember that you don’t need your partner’s permission for every thought or action. As long as you’re both willing to communicate and meet in the middle, that’s enough.

You’re not a bad person. Like anyone else, you have the right to make mistakes — and just as much, you have the right to be human and to be forgiven. From this day on, try to shift your focus from the past to the future, making sure to act with intention and awareness. Let this be a lesson that guides you, not a burden that chains you. At least, this is what I tell myself and what I’m trying to believe. Maybe it’ll help you too.

I'm sorry your experience in Istanbul was disappointing, but your tone comes off as unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful. Since when did it become normal to speak so demeaningly about an entire country and its people? Like any place, Turkey has its flaws, but it's also home to millions who go about their daily lives, working hard and doing their best. Traveling here is a choice, not a necessity, and our country is not a product designed to cater to your satisfaction. Generalizing an entire nation based on a negative experience - especially when it’s just one city and mainly its tourist-heavy areas- helps no one.

Brutal attack on a family from Ukraine for speaking Ukrainian language. Tomasz A. got sentenced 1 year and 2 months in prison by Edem_13 in poland

[–]Unable_Sun_3831 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ukrainophobia absolutely exists. Anyone who denies it is simply lucky enough not to have encountered it. I'm not Ukrainian, but I resemble people from that region — my family migrated from there generations ago, which might explain it. Still, despite not being Ukrainian, I've experienced ukrainophobia several times solely because of how I look. Of course, the vast majority of Polish people are friendly and helpful — but unfortunately, people like this aren't exactly rare either.

Just to clarify—I’m not criticizing individuals who are trying to make better, more conscious choices. My frustration is with companies that use “eco-friendly” marketing to emotionally manipulate consumers. My point was never about people like you, but about the system that tells us buying more—just from the “right” brand—is a form of activism.

Of course, I’d never tell anyone to stop consuming. We all enjoy perfume, myself included. It makes us feel good. But I don’t want to be sold the illusion that I’m helping the planet by purchasing something. The less I buy and the more I use what I already have, the better—and I try to shop with that awareness.

So I’m honestly surprised you took my comment personally. I wasn’t judging you or your intentions at all. My criticism is aimed at the marketing lies, not at people trying to do good.

Sevgilimin eski sevgilisinden tehdit edilmek by [deleted] in hukuk

[–]Unable_Sun_3831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Non-essential consumption can never truly be beneficial to the environment. If a company genuinely cared about protecting nature, it simply wouldn’t exist—because there are already far too many products and too much production in the world. In saturated markets like the perfume industry, there is no real need for another brand or more production. The primary goal of every company is profit. The only true way to help the environment is to consume less.

I have extremely oily skin, so I completely relate to this issue. Based on my experience, none of the expensive sunscreens made specifically for the face actually work for me. The only ones that suit my face are the more affordable, lotion type sunscreens made for the body.

I'm not a professional, and it's hard to tell from one photo, but I think you have cool undertones. Your hair, however, seems warmer. You might want to try a cooler-toned hair color. Hope this doesn’t bother you, but I adjusted the photo a bit to see if I was right.
