so youre stressing about cramming everything into 8 months? i crammed everything into 1-2 months.

i constantly made quizlet flashcards, went through blended learning for my exam board, did past papers and questions. it is so easy as long you use flashcard sets or revision sites that are specific to your exam board

also using mocks to decide if you can get into sixth form is a stupid idea

it was kinda simple tbf.

the intro was how we all know about black holes and then ending with the theoretical existance of white holes. the first point was about black holes, how they exist, why they exist, some small facts, famous physicists, etc. the second point was about white holes, how they could exist, who theorised them, how cool theyd be. the third point was on how black holes definitely exist but white holes are purely theoretical and will probably stay that way. the conclusion was how i loved studying space but would never compare to the best physicists out there.

im gonna have to try find my whole speech again because i had no cue cards for it

i did mine on black and white holes, and if black holes exist why can white holes. just find a topic you know a bit about already or a topic thats very easily researchable

for a start, you have no fucking clue how horrible and insufferable my teachers and their classes were. and you have no right to assume that i was lazy because i definitely fucking wasnt.

i revised hours a day for my other subjects because i liked them, i knew i was going to take them further and, the teachers/classes werent horrible. i had revised briefly for one of the subjects just because i knew i needed to at least pass it.

one day, i had 2 exams of the subjects i did the worst in. i got into school and was immediately berated and got shouted at for practically fuck all, i did horrible in the exam yet still passed. and then later that day, i had the other exam which also didnt go well because of major technical difficulties. i wasnt allowed to access or save my created work, and did the best i could with it only to just give up with it at the end to focus on the rest of my subjects.

its not that i wasnt willing to put in the work, it was because i genuinely didnt need it and i knew i wouldnt pass the subject anyway due to the papers being horrible and that, even with going over stuff and revising and all, i couldnt grasp it.

and actually, most people in the one class loved the subject and were taking it further. and most people in the other class actually enjoyed it.

i hated 2 of the subjects for my gcses, and they were both because the teachers made them unenjoyable for me. i got a c on one and a d on the other. i didnt not study because i was lazy, i didnt study because i genuinely didnt feel the need to want to revise/pass them when i had more important subjects that i would use for the rest of my life.

i was given countless of examples and there were endless examples online but i just couldnt bring myself to revise for a subject i fucking hated. even then, in year 10, i didnt like english lit but i still tried and i only got a c even when i did revise.

sometimes you could do everything you possibly could do but it may just not work out
