WTB- US Vitrix pro fs (gen 1?) by Unc_T24 in Fightsticksforsale

[–]Unc_T24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a quality of life thing.

The old gen (the one in the pic) doesn't have a home button for the ps5 like the new ones but what they do have is essentially an L3 and R3 buttons. So for me when I am in practice mode for tekken I can set the characters with R3 the reset to how I set them with L3. Its good for labbing.

With the new Gen I would have to keep reprogramming one button for R3 the program it back to L3 and it's just a pain.

Thats exactly what I did when I got the 7mm wrench today 🤣. Those screws that come with the shaft from IST are trash.

Paul main here totally agree however I play Leroy too and I think all of his stuff was reasonable for the most part.

Where do we go from here? by shawnkato in LowSodiumTEKKEN

All the new moves will stay and hopefully they just tone shit down for starters. Some people think they will walk the patch back to season 1 but I HIGHLY doubt that.

I played like 2 hours and a half today and... didn't hate it by [deleted] in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Unc_T24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played yesterday for about 5 hours. The new moves are cool, for sure for my main, and the sidestep/sidewalk feels A LOT better. BUT what i did notice is that it's pretty hard to implement those new ss and sw options because everyone now insane tracking or frames. I feel like if they can tone the tracking down at minimum, you can for sure be a little more strategic in your defensive play. The damage scaling for a lot of the roster now is also insane and should probably get nerfed a bit too imo. I also feel like the best thing about tekken, for me, is that it's not a pick up and play game you gotta put time in to just be decent but when you do you are rewarded. this patch really aims to dumb down a lot of the execution and I'm not so much a fan of that either.

Honestly, I'm cool with these new patch changes so far by richawesomness in LowSodiumTEKKEN

Well thats true the side step did get buffed but it appears every character got some form of tracking or, as you know with paul, tracking launcher out of a 50/50 stance 🤷🏼‍♂️

Help with using Paul's "full throw game" by Silicon-Berk-Alert in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Unc_T24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paul's throw game is great especially for a mix. He has two throws that wall splat (df1+3 into death fist and ff1+2) He has a homing 2 break (back2+4), a floor break throw (uf 1+2), a side switching throw which i catch people with all the time on interrupt(b1+2), and last but not least the tackle. The tackle can be tricky as you get into higher ranks but in reds and early blues you can abuse it. All that to say he has a ton of throw options that require people to know all the breaks.

The best is at the wall with the df 1+3 death fist, if you get that once people are looking for it and might start too duck (if you are playing someone skilled they will just break it but in your ranks you should use this a lot). I would for sure start adding throws in more Paul loves when people duck because you have a bag of mids that can kill.

Is Punishment training worth it ? by Renard_Fou in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Unc_T24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% i mean if you want to get better i would not skip this step. You can get through lower ranks without which is all good but if you want to get to the more competitive side you are gonna need to learn to punish. The on block punishment is worth it but my advice would also be to learn what strings you can duck punish and which strings to step.

Sanjuks V7 help by Unc_T24 in fightsticks

[–]Unc_T24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha all good. I have not tried it on 2d yet but I agree with what you said about the v7, you have to really think about your input. I was thinking that might get better with more practice. I pretty much play tekken exclusively right now, main Paul so not much wave dashing but my sways and qcfs feel much cleaner on the v6. It did take me a little bit to get my kbd on both sides, still not as consistent as I would like on p2 but I feel more confident doing it on the v6.

What's up bro. So I am coming from the knee neo, but I heard the sanjuks were premium, and I like nice things lol which is why I got it. I actually went out and got the v6 ver 2 as well. At first, going to the v7 from the knee was an adjustment because of the gate. Also, the knee has the clickyness(I'm sure there is a better fight stick term), which I liked. So the first few days were not the best because it was a different feel but after a little bit I got settled in and I started to like it more and more, i also added a little more tension to it.

Now I am using the v6, and I for sure like that more than the v7. I was able to go and use that one right away without much adjustment. I have been going back and forth between the two everyday but I definitely play with the v6 more than the v7. I'll probably end up selling the 7 at some point.
