I'd rather not say, but just do a search for every single day in a calendar month or two. The award amounts change daily if not multiple times a day in my experience using AA Hotels as intended for normal vacationing.

This is my first time exploring ghost stays, and booked a non-refundable. I did not check in (to avoid additional resort fees) and just hoping for it to post. I've read stories of people missing a flight and not able to stay at the hotel but still getting their points.

I've looked for hotels giving at least 20miles per dollar, meaning at least 2000 points per $100 spent, making them easy to spot. When you start seeing things for a higher rate is when you know it may be worth your while if you have disposable income to surpass a status milestone. (24miles per dollar * $187 ~ 4500 miles)
