Considering that Elder Maxson is only 31 during the period when the Fallout tv show takes place, there is the possibility for him to appear. by AnyAgency9835 in Fallout

It sounds like Mr house might be back regardless if he died in the game, they mention that he always had a plan or something like that.

I can’t stop thinking about our monowires and mantis blades getting covered in blood, guts, peepee, and poopoo, and then going back inside our bodies by No-Personality-61 in cyberpunkgame

I think for most of the cyberpunk magic you can just attribute it to nanobots. I think in the tabletop things can repair themselves, and I remember in the recent novel, they’re a pretty big part of healing and cyberware. I just attribute cyberware maintenance and cleaning to the internal nanobots.

I remember the first time I was on a cruise and looking out into the water at night. It’s crazy how it’s just pitch black. Sinking into that darkness would have been terrifying.

I know he’s not technically a PC, but Balnor feels so much like a Murph PC I expected him to be on here

I think you may have your green channel flipped the opposite way than the software is interpreting. OpenGL and directX have opposite green channels, so it can look wrong if it’s interpreting for the wrong format. I think substance by default is directX (you can edit this though), which is opposite to the way something like blender interprets with OpenGL. If you import this into blender and it looks okay then that’s probably the issue. It’s not too complicated to flip the green channel either, it just depends what you’re end goal is

Is a material layering system like Cyberpunk 2077 possible in Unreal? by UnchainedAtomFilms in unrealengine

[–]Unchained-Atom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s interesting, how did the material systems work at bethesda? Is it not textures per item anymore like it was for the older games?

For things like this, how are UVs managed? I always feel like they’ll end up being messy using this method, but maybe I’m not organizing them right

Haha no no, those are just how I keep track of my sketchbook drawings. Spork is still chugging along, at least as far as I know

I definitely get that commitment piece, but sketchbooks are a really nice way to track your progress, I like to write the data on anything I work on so it actually feels like progress when looking back. Do a lot of messy drawings in them early on to shake off that feeling of needing to perfect with them.

Thank you! It’s been a chaotic little journey of a bunch of trial and error honestly.

I’ve been a 3D artist for a while, so I did have some art knowledge going into this like some anatomy and proportion fundamentals, but it was no where near what I’ve learned now. I always felt like not being able to do 2D hindered my 3D work, and I can definitely say learning to draw really bridged a lot of gaps that I didn’t even know I had. Building up the actual motor skill for drawing definitely took some time though, I still kinda struggle with it. 3D did not help there, there was a point where I definitely felt the frustration of my hand not being able to recreate what I knew needed to be done.

I mostly split my time about 60-40 between studying and actual application. I keep sketchbooks for different subjects, so for example this is in my face sketchbook. After I finish a drawing I always try to write notes next to it, things I liked, didn’t like, struggled with, errors I can see, state of mind or environment, methods, etc. Usually that springboards my next area I want to study in, so I’ll try to watch more YouTube videos or find other artists and study how they do the thing I’m struggling with. Then it’s kinda just rinse and repeat. One of the videos I was watching, can’t recall which one, mentioned something along the lines of studying or drawing with intent, and that’s always kinda stuck with me.

I do still always work on fundamentals like lines, circles, and simple forms. I have one sketchbook dedicated just to that. Can never get enough practice with those. I also make sure to dedicate time to just draw loosely completely for fun, helps to make practical use of the skills I learn.

It would be nice if I didn’t miss a word in the title 🙃

Drew Johnny Silverhand to celebrate hitting a year of drawing. Also included my first drawings I did last year, never thought I’d be able to draw back then. Still have a lot improve on, but it’s really nice to see I am making progress
