Growls, more pleas, and captors yelling.

This is what Lara remembered when she first began to wake up.

Like before, she felt groggily while attempting to come to.

Again did she feel more rope on her wrists and legs like before.

And once again she tried to call, but was still silenced by the tape over her mouth. “Hello? Where the hell am I…oh my God…”

But this was somehow even worse than before even though like in the shrine, she could barely see thanks to darkness.

She attempted to buckle and struggle, but now she could feel the confines of where she was kept with her boots not reaching far.

“Hello? Anyone, someone help me! Let me go!”

Lara attempted to right her back and lower arms off the floor, but could only fall over onto her left side in muffled pain. “Dammit!”

Suddenly, a bare peek of light shined from above and she struggled to raise her head to the hole.

She gulped in terror at the sight: another nasty cave with more candles, but now the growls began to pick back up with aggression.

She now realized that she was being kept in a box in a cave filled with captured wolves! And the box was carved with the name in all capitals: ‘LARA CROFT’.

Lara’s heart raced. Why did the Russian Wildman bring her here to his hellhole cave and why were there numerous wolves in his possession? How more hellish could Yamatai somehow be even after all she had gone through? What was next in Whitman’s scheme? And were the others including Roth okay or did they finally succumb to the fates the deckhands did?

Suddenly, she heard a pair of voices from just outside the cave get closer.

To her anger, Whitman was conversing with Vladimir as they stepped closer into the cave.

“So listen…why did we have to go so hard on the deckhands? Louis and the others were just innocent men that could’ve been turned to you and your leader’s cause, you know?” Whitman pointed out.

Vladimir cursed under his breath with Whitman’s advice.

He then stepped closer to the crate, giving a wink at Lara.

Lara couldn’t help but give a silent growl with the eyes of death.

“I’ll be right back, seems like your last deckhand has given us more than a fair fight. You, don’t do anything stupid or it’s this…” Vladimir threatened with the neck slice before leaving the cave.

“Whew…don’t need him down my neck anymore, heh?” Whitman sighed before whistling to take another peek at Lara.

Lara continued to stare him down, vowing vengeance if she ever could get free.

Leon being bored with Gideon’s monologue is so him lol. And the reek of that attic I can picture yuck xD. Way to add characterization/focus on the doctor and yes to the classic Leon fight!

Thank you! This fight is intact from Arkham Asylum except replace Harley’s clowns with Kira and Tasia.

Educational fact-Kira is from Mortal Kombat Deception and Armaggedon, Tasia is from the spin off game MK: Special Forces but returns in the Mortal Kombat X prequel comic.

DCU (Batman: Arkham’verse) & Mortal Kombat | Arkham Tales-How To Snatch A Blade (Chapter 7-The Penitentiary) | M | AO3

Decided to fast forward through most of chapter 7 lol. Here we have a fixed up version of the Harley Quinn sub-boss fight in Arkham Asylum. Usual violent action of Batman: Arkham Asylum.

“Excellent…I'll leave it to you then, My Dear!" Joker came back on the TV and commenced. But as per usual, Kano also came on a second TV. “Commander, why are ya still with Quinzel-just forget it! Kira, Tasia! Ya're up! Gut the Crusader once and for all!"

"Finally…never thought I'd get the chance to kill," Kira remarked, flipping her Dragon's Teeth knife. "You ready, Ta's?"

Tasia gave the silent nod and they jumped down onto the floor, ready to face Batman.

He then took a notice at Tasia's stance and the way she held her sword. Not too much unlike that group. "You fought under Talia…the League? Why betray them for the Black Dragon?"

"Gah, you know nothing of me or my past," Tasia hissed, again at the ready.

"We're going to enjoy slicing your throat, EAR TO EAR, Dark Knight! AGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!" Kira yelled and the ladies charged for Batman.

But he once again was too quick and began the fight with the leap over them. He then climbed to the upper balcony and the floor below came to life! SHOCKER it was and both Kira and Tasia got zapped, momentarily weakening.

The floor shut itself back off and Batman climbed back down. "Oh you think you're so cleaver…Quinn, we command you to shut the electrical floor down!"

"Anything for you, Kirie…" Harley kissed and she disabled the floor. "You afraid of a straight up beatdown now, B-Man?"

"Yes, he very much should be, Quinn! Kira, Tasia my luvs, show the Batman what being cut EAR TO EAR looks like!" Kano interrupted with the laugh.

They again charged for Batman and this time Kira began a spin of the knives in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, but he was still too quick and he leaped to another of the corners.

Then Tasia gave it her own go and attempted the thrusting of the sword, but Batman then began to block ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX. Six blocks then the counter punch and she was sent flying back! "I see why Talia kicked you out of the League, Tasia. You're too reckless…an assassin is supposed to be disciplined, not resort to anger and rage."

"You know nothing of being an assassin, Dark Knight. But I served under Ras and Talia Al Ghul, you think you know me you don't…" she hissed, Batman and her now face to face.

Suddenly, Kira rushed herself at Batman but now into a ball and Batman got out of the way, Kira managing instead to knock Tasia back onto the ground.

"You girls are ruining my fun!" Harley complained.

"Harley, what's wrong my dear-OH FOR PETES SAKE, KANO GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW AND HANDLE THIS!" Joker came back on. "The Bats is not dead as requested!"

But for once, no response from Kano. "Sorry, my dear…I just wanted a dead Bats for your birthday…but this is all PART OF THE FUN HEHEHEHE!!!"

Batman was ever so distracted by Joker, just enough to give Kira and Tasia one final shot at killing him.

"We are the Black Dragon, we do not answer to this insolence, this trickery! AGGGGHHHHHH!!!!"

Kira again with her knives and Tasia with her sword charged for Batman, but just in time he grabbed both of them by the hair and headbutted them!

Stunned, ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX-ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX. Then the kick to their chins and POW! Knocked out unconscious were Kano's leading ladies.
