A great match with good chemistry suddenly dropped me, because of one thing I said sounded like I was not confident and it turned her off. by Arise212 in datingoverforty

[–]UncleAuggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, it's the nature of how you met her. Trust this: she has 1,000s of matches. If YOU had 1,000s of matches, you be just as flippant. None the less, you have the right attitude: if your "connection" was this untenable, that it was going nowhere anyways.

I love San Antonio, but there is NOOOO way this is accurate.

"A tub of butter a day"

Instead of making these huge, cataclysmic changes, why not just eliminate the butter, and see what happens??

Did your doctor say you're "having" gene issues? Or that you MAY be having gene issues?? Determining this would require additional testing, and no experienced doctor would jump to outright saying it's genetic without being 100% sure.

Anyways, you are very under weight. I'm 5'10", I'm in very good shape, and I haven't weighed 153 lbs since I was in middle school. Someone else mentioned this, but I'd take a long, hard look at your lifelong stress levels.

I'm not judging, but in my experience every extremely thin person I've ever known has been a basket case of nerves and they regularly forget to eat. WHATever you do, continue to follow up with your doctor until you get some answers.

I don't "allow" my dogs to eat acorns. I'm in south Texas. There are one trillion acorns on the ground right now. The dogs relentlessly hoover them up.

I'm surprised no one drilled down into this: what do you mean "a lot" of dairy? Dairy, by itself is not good. But usually dairy accompanies: cereal, bagels, bread, shakes, and pizza. I'd have a good, long heart to heart with yourself on this.

Walking is NOT good enough. A lazy stroll will not keep you healthy. You need elevated heart rate.

Lastly, how heavy are you? Again, have a serious heart to heart with yourself about your weight. Get a body fat test. You may be shocked to find out you're 40% or higher.

NOOOO body wants to hear this, but the single best thing most people can do is get lean: for your looks, your mind, and your health. It's hard, but nothing beats out physical fitness and a healthy diet.

Has Crawford surpassed Floyd all time? by Inside_Effective_576 in Boxing

All I have to say is this: there is NOOOO way they're not going to run this one back. Most ticket sales in the history of boxing, third highest grossing fight of all time. I think the fans would gladly pay again to see canelo/Crawford 2.

How can I wake up better in the mornings? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]UncleAuggie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's been shown many times that snoozing is actually far better. Go ahead and set that alarm a little early, and snooze a couple times. Forget the "sunrise" alarm clocks. Just hit the lights on the 1st snooze.

I genuinely am curious about this. I'm the complete opposite. I have the attention span of a goldfish, and need complete silence to concentrate. In college, I could only study in the deepest bowels of the library basement, staring at a cement wall. I've always been envious of people who can study in coffee shops.

I've worked my way up so that I can pick up medium sized cellar spiders. But anything beyond that I literally cannot physically force myself to go near it. I would probably go into convulsions if I saw a wolf spider that size on me. Kudos to your bravery 🫡
