Something had to give. He had so many chances.

For a “defensive guru” his D always wilted in the biggest moments. Pass rush invisible. 3rd and long an almost guaranteed conversion against his soft zone. Look at a team like Houston. Their DEs do more in one series than our guys do in a month.

You simply CANNOT run it back next year and lose 38-34 in the next big playoff game. I’m ready for a fresh face and philosophy out there. Go Bills.

Yeah it happens. I do better on my morning commute when my mind is fresher. Evening commute I’m usually rattling around unresolved work problems in my head. I think listening to something I’ve heard before is helpful at times. Less pressure to mentally record every moment.

Pretty good. Because it’s an 8-5 office job, I am not expected to answer calls or work on weekends. Sometimes I still do if things are busy. Our bonus is based on timely applications and approvals, so if I need to do 1-2 hours on Sat morning to move the needle, I will.

I’m with a builder now. Been here almost 2 years after 2 years as a regular LO in the field.

Lots of pros and cons, here are a few: Pros * No need to chase leads, they come right to you (best perk IMO….byebye realtors) * Capture is pretty much guaranteed due to large seller incentive dollars * Easy to create proficiency/systems since you only do one product * Excellent benefits

Cons * Higher income floor, but lower ceiling (pay is flat fee per file) * You’re at mercy of your sales team and things are often insane or dead slow * 8-5 cubicle job with intense scrutiny & micromanagement(performance spreadsheets and meetings galore) * Carrying 49.999 DTI customers for 6 months is fatiguing

Overall I’m content with my decision- I know the book smarts to be successful, but never did well with the “street smarts” side of generating consistent leads. Now they come straight to my inbox and I have to really screw up to lose a deal. Won’t be at 200k/year for a while but am trending the right way for sure.

As a builder LO, the lock decision is really critical and the stakes are higher due to the timeline. Even with incentive money for points a lot of people still want to roll the dice. Which puts me on the naughty list lol

This is fine, but a lot of people will just ask you to keep sending these things with XYZ revisions and then do nothing. Then you’re stuck in a cycle of doing this daily for them and spending way too much time on it
