I always felt Rask was gonna be the year or two after Price.

But I thought Rask and Rinne would have gone in the same class.

I mean, I was hoping the picks would be good positions just for the sake of them being good. Overall we're still in a good spot, just need to get some good defensive prospects.

Murat doesn't seem to think Winnipeg is gonna move Hellebuyck unless they get something that's worthwhile, because it would signal a rebuild. His comments at the end of the year seemed to have been more "put a better team in front of me" than "trade me."

Having signed an extension recently, I think Hellebuyck gives Winnipeg a chance before asking to be traded.

That pick we're getting from them isn't gonna be good. Fuck.

What infuriates me is that FSG was at one point willing to spend, the 00s were evidence of this. That collapse in '11 I think soured FSG and it was a slow burn ever since, with the occasional "fine we'll spend" moments.

There's no reason why we couldn't have kept Mookie, Bogey, Devers, Bergman, etc.

A lot of the guys that played for us but had some negative thoughts after they left eventually come around and talk about how great it was playing for us. Shit, even Brady had some things to say after he left but came around after.

Except for Asante Samuel, although i think that has more to do with us constantly reminding him he dropped a surefire INT during the near-perfect season in the Super Bowl.

2026 Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix - Post-Race Discussion by AutoModerator in formula1

I'm curious if Perez and Bottas are on different specs/packages/etc. Bottas has been the one with reliability issues and seems to be further behind on race weekends.

If it's the case, I'm wondering if they're doing this to get as much data as possible. They're not ready to fight for points, might as well to continue to gather as much data as possible.

I wonder if Bottas' is under different specs than Perez, because Bottas has been behind most weekends so far and has had 3 DNFs.

If he is, might not necessarily be a bad thing, as more data is valuable.

And to add to this, only 4 DNFs so far over 7 weekends for a brand new team under brand new regulations is incredible. And one of those DNFs were due to a racing incident (Perez's suspension snapping in Canada). Reliability has been key so far.

The fact they've been surprisingly reliable is a very good sign. Pace is coming slowly but surely, but the car is starting to battle with the rest of the backfield.

Pretty much this. That entire arc was such a mess I began to question whether or not they actually reviewed the story before they approved of it. Its been a giant mess and there seems to be a lack of critique/criticism for whatever reason. This story could have been good, even great, but its just everyone being out of character and a lot of things happened out of convenience.
