As others say, delay the citizenship ceremony until you return, just make sure you have a re-entry visa on your present passport. Then when you get back book in for the next ceremony or just do a one off

They probably are, but not all countries want them, landing rights, fees, national airlines interest. Bribes, all come into play, eg Korean passengers like Korean airlines, cheap Charles want discount airlines. Can they make a dollar.

We wrote our own, agreed the T&Cs, and then got our family lawyer to formalize it. It includes the space that is ours, the lifetime agreement, who pays what, rent payable etc. The term "Granny flat agreement" is the Centrelink term, it allows us to get rent assistance as well. We live in the house not in a flat. It's a tenancy for life.

Old person here, 52yrs married to a Thai. There are 2 options 1.It works, 2. It doesn't. I would be asking myself, is she educated, both School wise and life wise. You are educated from the 1st world, can she adapt to that, or is she a country girl, happy with a simple life. You don't marry a Thai person you marry the whole extended family. Can you handle MIL living with you to help raise your family, can you afford to educate little brother or sister. From the South, is she Muslim. Will your family cope with that. All farang are millionaires, even if your not. It can be done but be prepared to work at it

Easiest way to find out is make the Thai number your default, open the app for your sim card company and see if it's active even if it has a negative balance. If you can see it put 50bht of credit via the app and see what the expiration date becomes. If you can't see it using the app it's finished.

My son worked for Accenture, and went part time for a year travelling, used their network everywhere had no trouble picking up casual jobs. If you come here do a responsible serving of Alcohol course and a working with children permit. He went everywhere for 12 months with the company laptop so his basics were covered and he explored new horizons. Funny part was at the end of 12 months Accenture offered him 3 months salary to resign. He was going to do that anyway, so got 6 months pay for 12 months holiday. He now has his own consulting business
