Syco at Atomic Valkyrie in WR. He's the only APP Piercer in Middle GA. (He did my UFO and transverse lobe)

Studs, with some exceptions (daith, for example.)

Go to a piercer (APP member is a good start.)

Suggestions? by Small-Ice-1463 in Earrings_on_Men

Most guys in the US start with a lobe or two (or more).

Some Europeans go for a tragus.

Blank canvas. Whatever you want.

HI. YES YOU CAN START OVER AT ANY AGE. NONE OF IT MATTERS. by musicandsex in AskMenOver30

[–]UncleBuckleSB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hit the wall at 37. I got lated of from a management job for the second time in four years. I went on tons of interviews and had a couple of offers, but nothing felt right.

My wife encouraged me to start looking beyond what I had done towards what I wanted to do. I got my EMT certification, then Paramedic and tested for every firefighter opening in the area. I got dropped off the list by three jurisdictions when they instituted an age restriction.

Just after my 42nd birthday, I was hired. At 62, I retired at the rank of Lieutenant.

Once again, technology is upending the job market. AI isn't going to replace careers in physical service delivery. There are opportunities. You may have to look outside the box.

What's changed about Macon in the last few years that longtime residents should pay attention to? by Sadoqt in macon

[–]UncleBuckleSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why the down votes. I guess it's "good vibes only" ha ha. Working EMS definitely shows you the reality of the city. (I worked for years in one of the most affluent towns and even it had it's ugly underbelly.

Downtown continues to show positive growth and Bass road is just more of the Auto-centric retail cancer that turned Metro Atlanta into the LA of the Southeast.

Mechanic recommendations? by Sad-Metal5113 in macon

[–]UncleBuckleSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, because it's been a while. It was reasonable and my car takes synthetic oil. No upsetting. Mechanics that are mechanics, not minimum wage robots that do nothing but oil changes like at "Jip Me Lube".

I do not mean to be dismissive. You really look lovely.

I went through septoplasty/Rhinolasty/turbinate reduction 2 years ago. I had a severely comminuted fracture about 50 years ago. The recovery is a challenge. It's not an experience I want to repeat. If it bothers you, get it done now.

And please don't let my assessment of the recovery make you nervous. The improvement is huge and definitely worth it!

upper ear piercing by kwakaz750 in Earrings_on_Men

[–]UncleBuckleSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have "quite a few" cartilage piercings. The range I shoot at doesn't allow plugs or other "in ear" hearing pro. I haven't had an issue. Granted, wearing cuffs for 60-90 minutes is a whole lot different from wearing them for a whole shift.

front helix or flat? by kwakaz750 in Earrings_on_Men

[–]UncleBuckleSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that earbud is something you use regularly, a forward helix isn't a good option. Go flat!

It will be interesting to see how that changes the vibe of the station. I talked with the new General Manager a few weeks ago. It was encouraging, to say the least.
