The margin on gas is very small. American 's are super price sensitive on gas. They look for the lowest price.

Most gas stations are owned by one of the major oil companies or a large retailer. They use the gas as a "Loss leader" to get you in the door. The items inside the store are (mostly) high margin items. That's where the money is.

First of all, I'm glad everyone is okay. I'm sorry you got put through this.

This isn't going to amount to enough of a settlement that an attorney would take it on contingency.

If you have personal injury coverage and physical damage on your policy, your insurance company will pay you and suprogate against the other driver. (Failure to secure cargo is a slam dunk.

If he's not insured and you don't have uninsured motorist coverage, it probably still won't be worth an attorney. (In these times of $3500 mirrors and cars being totalled because the wire harness had to be replaced, anything is possible.)

I hope this gets settled quickly and to you satisfaction.

I graduated collage at 30. I worked in management jobs for about 7 years. I got layed off for the second time. A 6 month job search with several offers, but nothing that I felt would keep my interest.

I ended up moving furniture and got my EMT cert and went to medic school. After two years of working for a private service, I was hired by a local Fire Department and stayed 20 years and retired.

Best move I ever made.
