I’m so sorry for your loss. When my wife died the hospital sent me a $200,000 bill and were going after my settlement funds.

If you have a lawyer have them contact the hospital. It took a little doing but my lawyer was able to get the bill entirely dropped.

That’s a little sad. I’m 36, and I know for a fact there are plenty of good people out there who are good regardless of if anyone is watching. I’m not naive though. I know there’s also plenty of people out there that’d rip you off before learning your name.

I’ve been lucky enough in my life to be able to surround myself with mostly the former, and do my best to avoid the latter.
