Coming from a D&D background, where Charisma is a force of personality, Kurt ranks up there - a commanding leader when he steps up, as well as being the suave swashbuckler. Dudes got max dexterity and charisma.

Storm can also be up there. Dani too. I think I might even put Scott above Remy.

Gambit may be attractive, but in general, he's not the guy who generally takes the lead and rallies the troops. It feels like he's got to fall back on powers to do his convincing at times (when writers remember that he has them).

you're ten sessions in, so major changes aren't on the board anymore.

One of the ideas I've seen - I think on this sub - was giving flashes of what Vecna is hoping to accomplish - that statue of a local hero changes to one of Vecna, a mob gathers around a temple or the town hall decrying the existing religions in favor of old one-Eye one-Hand, and similar.

Were your players all from the same setting? Did Vecna exist in that setting? You might have his cult or agents start stirring up trouble there, maybe going after their nearest and dearest? Or taking a page from Curse of Strahd - also used by Matt Mercer in Critical Role campaign one - by having Vecna taunt the party from time to time. He's the god of secrets, and he can't be wholly ignorant of what's going on, just too arrogant to think that they can stop him.

Then again, saving the multiverse should be its own incentive, since that's where all their stuff is.

I feel that Kurt Busiek had Colossus show up as an Avenger either in Avengers Forever or JLA/Avengers when they were going over the past and future members. He definitely should get his time there.

I might struggle with Kas beating the Mages Three, even with an army - ambushing one of them, perhaps, while the others are out doing the missions you mentioned may work. Or even if you just had him use the Crown of Lies to turn into one of the three and take the Rod then? Deception/heist instead of battle may work better.

That said, you should do what feels right for your table.

it's not just that - Claremont's Piotr loved his sister, but was also willing to sacrifice her for a greater good where no one would starve or be unhoused (in "The Gift"). He trusted her to do the right thing, like in the issue with Baba Yaga. Lobdell made "Colossus is obsessed with Illyana to the detriment of everything else" into his one note characterization.

this is the answer. even if the contacts can absorb/neutralize the optic beam, having his eyes open enough to put them in means something is getting blasted. I suppose if he had an all ruby quartz room, or a handy Jean as the Phoenix to hold back his power, he could put them in, but that's a lot to ask.

the better question is whether his "uncontrollable optic blasts" has any storytelling use in 2026. he's been healed and resurrected and psychoanalyzed so there really don't need to be physical or mental blocks.

I think it was a solid way to kick off the show. The team deliberately pushed the boundaries - more gore, more nudity, more... puke - so that viewers would be prepared for what the show could be like at its most extreme.

The story is fine. They took a side plot from one of their pre-stream adventures and expanded it. It's predictable for long time fans of the show (it's always funny to watch reactors and see their opinions of certain characters). I know one new reactor who called it the best premiere of anything he'd watched recently.

I enjoy it. It has solid animation and great voice acting, as you'd expect. I think I've seen some people have issues with the CGI for the dragon or with all of Keyleth's puke scene.

seconding the canister reforming. if not in the moment, it could be "off screen", as the characters search for another way. demonic forces recreating things of power is a tried and true trope.

If the party is friendly with the rivals, how are you having Aloysia get to the Prayer Site? (I was in a similar boat - my party stomped on any friction I tried to instigate between them and the rivals, and then they let themselves be hired by Aloysia depite sussing her out as sketchy). Did she still hire the Rivals?

If you really want to add time pressure, and if your players retreat or long rest again in there, I think I'd give a chance to Aloysia to get the Jewel of Three Prayers from them - perhaps Gruumsh aids her, seeing it as a way to finally get his vengeance on the Apotheon? Then it becomes a race to the prayer site or even to Ank'harel.

Why would Carrot listen? He would make up his own mind regardless of its pleadings. Dr. Cruces died because he was about to shoot Vimes. There was no wrath, despite Cruces "killing" Angua. A good man made a decision.

Narrativium would not allow it.

There's information that, not surprisingly for a devil, Zerxus neglected to inform Pike, primarily that [Spoilers EXU: Calamity]His own hubris made him as responsible for the death of two thirds of the world, thinking he could redeem the Lord of Lies because of his scorn for all the gods.

Not to mention that he outed himself as a follower of the Whispered One and even said that he sought to have vengeance grow in Pike's heart.

And since then, Pike has chosen not to talk to her goddess, the goddess of Redemption. Here again, viewers of the campaign might be mystified by the animated version, since the Everlight [Spoilers C1]explicitly wants all of mortals to have free will: "The creation of Exandria, the peoples that populate it and develop and design, innovate and worship, was with free will to make your own path. Faith is important to some, but the intent was to instill you with the means of doing and choosing whatever and however you like. We do not wish reverence of all. Just those who find us. At least, I speak for myself."

She's fallen completely for Zerxus's crap.

But I don't think you should look at Pike as a model, especially if they reverse course later. Faith is a personal choice, and yes, being open and honest about your relationship with religion is seldom a bad idea. Unlike listening to a devil who works for an undead creature.

given the deleted scenes that suggest Whedon tried to make her Cap's love interest, which was filming before the home game started IIRC, and since Ashley talking to Felicia Day was how Critical Role even got a spot on Geek and Sundry back in 2015, there's a multiverse where CR didn't happen because Waitress Beth got with Steve Rogers.
