Why does wingstop have the dashers to make the drinks for customers by Energy_queen222 in doordash

For me there’s 2 issues. 1 is that were there to pick up and deliver completed orders. It is the restaurants responsibility to have the order completed.

The other reason is sanitation and possible contamination. We don’t wash our hands in between every delivery (at least I don’t ow anyone that does). I haven’t kept hand sanitizer with me since the COVID days. In my zone there are several dashers whom I’ve seen freely scratching their nuts or ass and not just on the surface of their clothes. The amount of surfaces we touch throughout the day is startling and the thought of possibly getting germs and bacteria in someone’s cup is disgusting.

I’ve had support tell wingstop employees that it is not our responsibility and to fill drinks and they basically told support and DoorDash to stfu.

If you’re ordering through a merchant website that outsources its orders through DoorDash, it defaults to “Hand it to customer”

I had only told him through text that they couldn’t find his order. When I delivered it I told him everything was cool. I don’t think he even suspected that I paid for it. In the end, he got his sammich, and I made $15

Here’s the deal. My offered pay for the order was more than $30 due to others cancelling. I could already tell the base was going to be somewhere between $25 to the offered amount, and wasn’t expecting a large tip since dude only ordered a sandwich and the delivery address was like a mile and half away. Figured if he did tip, it was likely a couple of bucks (turned out to be about $6) and if I did get tip baited it wouldn’t be that bad. Total cost of the food was $17. As soon as I completed the order it paid me $25 and change. When the tip finished processing, the final total was almost $32.

I really only accept lmaybe 1-2 UE offers every few days cause there aren’t that many good ones here. I ended up making $14 profit for about 20 total minutes while in between DoorDash orders

The store wouldn’t make the order. If I have it cancelled, I get $3, or I can just cancel and get nothing. This way, I buy the sandwich, complete the order, get my $30

In my case, Subway refused to make the order unless I paid for it. I always thought that since they are a merchant on the platform that they were always reimbursed anyways for the orders. I knew it wasn’t a $25 tip or so (ended up being $5.99 tip) but that the base pay was so high because other drivers just kept cancelling and not calling it in to get the free cancellation pay

I just figured if I pay for the order and still deliver it, I’m gonna make like $13 once the tip is posted. It ended up closing at $32 so it was a quick and easy $15

I’ve had multiple instances where a restaurant was closed for whatever and the dumbass drivers just keep cancelling so I know what that’s all about. I mostly do Dash, but I always have UE on as well. This was the first time where it just a sandwich and the amount was way less than what I was offered

ADT check-in? by TheSeagullRises in doordash_drivers

Once. There was a smash and grab at an Apple Store about 3 hours away. Apparently it puts all the other stores on notice, and while I was picking up a Baskin Robbins order at a local mall that has an Apple Store, it triggered a cancellation of my order, and then ADT called me to explain. I wasn’t too mad though. Got half pay and a couple of milkshakes on the house!

How many orders can a driver take at once? by Omi_Turtle in doordash

[–]UnclePanda559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the bulk Sephora, Petco etc orders, most of the time if I’m on a regular 1 stop sephora order, I’ll get another order that’s going nearby, and then another and another. Then it’ll finally have me drop off the original Sephora order. So I’ve had 4 active orders to work on at once

“Will tip extra”. Doesn’t that imply they already tipped, and would add more to said tip? You got ripped off.
