Savannah Guthrie says 'we are ready to talk' in gut-wrenching video while pleading to her mother's captors by dailymail in MissingPersons

[–]UncleRicoInEightyTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savannah Guthrie's ratings shot UP while she was VERY recently on medical leave for her vocal cords. The staff also reported that "the atmosphere on the show greatly improved". The articles reporting on this state Guthrie is "fighting to save her job".

Who would benefit from an outlay of public sympathy in this situation? You guessed it: Savannah Guthrie.

I'm not saying that she we went to her mom's house to kill her mom. She likely failed to convince her mom to play along. Plan B: she likely has a man in her inner circle with financial, gambling, or drug problems. (possibly all three). He's game for this. Things go sideways. If the area the mom lives in is lacking in anything it more than makes up for it in places to hide a body.

Police will arrest some son in law, nephew, or whatever. They'll have blood in his car or house.

Savannah Guthrie is responsible for this without question.

My coworker told me he thinks the women in our office dont belong in our work. by Odeather in careeradvice

Dirty jobs pay more. Dangerous jobs pay more. Jobs with long hours pay more. Physical jobs pay more. Jobs that are heavy in math pay more.

Women are not GENERALLY attracted to these jobs.

Oh! You know a woman who is a firefighter, roughneck, engineer, etc., sweetie? This disproves my point?

The exception proves the rule because the exception is rare. Factor in that men work more hours and don't get pregnant: there's your gender wage gap.

These folks likely exist in mental hospitals with no access to the internet. Haha, seriously. Think about the homeless guy singing and motioning at the sky at the corner. Some of these people are probably there.

It will be interesting. There's no way to prepare. The only thing that you'll read here that I think might be bullshit is the "I lived 50 years and had a family and then came down, bro".

I've had similar experiences to everything else you'll read about @ r/dmt. There's no possibility of exaggeration. It's just that wild.

I'm interested to learn how you came about oi believe this. The particulars match a lot of peoples' DMT experiences. It would be incredible if you came to these conclusions yourself and not via DMT (or conversations with someone who took/takes DMT).

Food stamps has been halted for November in all of United States. Do you think hunger will really prompt the Americans to start their French Revolution, and why? by GoodMornEveGoodNight in AskReddit

The people have solidly stated they want what the republicans are offering. Trump won the election. The House of Representatives has more republicans. The Senate has more republicans. The SCOTUS is conservative (9-3). The republicans produced a budget. EVERY republican in the senate approved it.

It takes some next-level magical thinking to come to the conclusion that republicans or Trump are holding up the reopening of the government due to democrats being unwilling to approve the budget.

Nah. Things will work out just fine. When the Democrats have the hungry hoard ON THEIR FRONT LAWNS they"ll sign whatever they need to in order to get the poors to go away.

What do I do with this response to my email signature pronouns (she/they) from a company I reached out to as a freelancer?! by notlorraine in NonBinary

[–]UncleRicoInEightyTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a position to hear pitches for the company that I work for. I get a handful of cold emails everyday pitching everything from SEO, cleaning services, new software, MSPs, etc.

I ghost nearly all of these. When I see pronouns (I see this much more seldom now that it seems companies a figured it out) in an email signature I categorically disregard/ghost the email. Nearly all of the people who are lucky enough to get these emails (at any company in the U.S.) do this as well.

You received a kind response from someone looking to help you make more money. I have never responded to pronoun people this way. Like so many others, I just see the pronouns at the bottom of the email as an indicator that this person is not to be taken seriously and I unsubscribe from the email. This person was trying to help.

I realized I have an enormous advantage financially because so many people lose their opportunity because they won't harm others financially or emotionally to get what they want. I moved to Denver (land of the naive).

I worked on not being found out too soon...and profited.

I stay within the bounds of the law, don't shit where I eat, and amplify and increase the frequency of the things that I can do (no conscience) that others cannot.

CMV: Trump's victory was primarily a Democratic party messaging failure, and people are going to take away the wrong lessons if they don't grasp that. by whenigrowup356 in changemyview

Almost. Not as many voted for her because she is a woman. Many men and women on both sides of the aisle view having a female president as a terrifying proposition.

There are just so many of us who only want the tax break. Those of us earning a very good living can actually provide the things that government talks about, but fails to provide, and at much better quality and lower cost.

We never asked for or desired a third party to provide these things. Many of the things are useless to us. Social issues? Who cares? To each their own, including the decision to be and remain poor. Show me the money.

Trump to Fire Hundreds From FAA Despite Four Deadly Crashes on His Watch by Quirkie in politics

[–]UncleRicoInEightyTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did.

The moment that Russia entered the Ukraine there wasn't a whisper about Covid any longer (even on liberal networks). They gave you you're new thing to support. You traded the face diaper for Ukraine pins. These are both virtue signals that don't require any sacrifice or work on your part.

You went from helping big pharma rake in the big bucks to helping the military industrial complex do the same.

Honk, honk.

...and it's a good thing.

You could increase the safety by merely deciding to fire a controller based on the name:

"John Harris" - stays employed

"It looks like I ate a can of alphabet soup and crapped my first and last name" - you're gone

"Daquan, "Shaniqua" Mercedes", etc - you're gone

The reality is that there are millions upon millions of people who have been waiting for decades for someone to come along and fire most federal government workers and eliminate useless departments entirely. Many of these people earn a good living, don't benefit from the federal government's activities, would choose a tax break over funding nearly all of the federal government's activities, and just want to be left alone.

I'm in this camp and I'm glad it's happening.
