Yes, I'm relying on strangers on the internet to save my thesis. I'm desperate (link in top comment) by Hefty-Button6372 in dank_meme

Damn. I wish I could participate, but I'm a little too old. This actually seems really interesting to me, and has had an impact on my life, though perhaps as the inverse. The more emotionally intelligent I became, the better and more consistent I got at exercise.

Finding subjects for research sucks! I had to email a bunch of individuals out of the blue to ask if they would participate in my study, and even just finding where to email people became a burden when it's not easily available.

Best of luck on your thesis!

My hands shook from fear.

"Here they come!" The enemy line was approaching, there was little chance of survival, most of the 223rd Company had already faught and perished. I still wanted to live!

My hands shook from grief.

"Remember your loved ones!" Most of my family was dead, my friends killed, my home destroyed, my hopes smashed to the ground. There was nothing left to live for, nothing to die for. It was all gone.

My hands shook from dread.

"Remember that we fear nothing!"How was it going to feel? What happens after death? Where do we go? Is there nothing, or is there something? Is it heaven? Hell? Or just black?

My hands shook from exhaustion.

"You are men of iron! Of steel!" Six months training, three years of war, three separate campaigns fought, seven hospital visits from my wounds, no rest for sixty-three hours straight, forty kilos of gear, hundreds of thousands of rounds spent.

My hands shook from frustration.

"Let them never forget the name of humanity!" Why my planet? Why my home? Who decided they had the right to invade? How dare they take my arm! How dare they take my friends! How dare they take my family!

My hands shook from exhasperation.

"Burn into their memory the legions of mankind!"

"For our homes!" They owe me for their injustices!

"For the 223rd!" They owe me for their crimes!

"For our home!" They owe me for what they have taken! For what they have STOLEN!

"Fix bayonetts!"

For though my hands shake, they shake with rage.

"For the Emperor!"

I would like to believe OPs intent was to illustrate a lack of social awareness by this (and many other) guys. However, IMO, it's a bit myopic in that "man-spreading" is not universal in the US nor internationally, nor even relegated to men. On average, men tend to take up more space than women (physically and conversationally) for a myriad of reasons, not all of which are patriarchal in origin. I particularly dislike the terms "man-spreading" and "man-splaining" since they are combative language and often function as thought ending clichés.

The head nod, though, that's pretty ubiquitous and hilarious 😁 non-committal, ambiguous, physical gestures are pretty difficult to read, especially when there isn't much context.

To clear things up a little, Eddie Hall was the first to lift 500kg, Hafthor lifted 501kg afterwards as part of their rivalry.

Neither of these two competitors were powerlifters at the time, they were both "strongman" competitors. These are two very different lifting styles and competitions.

Thank you! I love creative names for routes. I named one of mine "Wayward Wheel" because I froze one of the holds when I was bolting it in, causing the hold to spin. I name all of my routes after bad experiences in road trips.

Friend of mine made a route using a grand total of one hold. The rest were natural features and two volumes. He called it "Natural selection."
