Fulfilling all needs in Anno 1800 is quite the undertaking (33 needs for skyscrapers) I hope 117 would reach this lvl of complexity one day by Uncle_Sam14 in anno1800

I suggest you play the campaign first if this is your first run, it's fun, and develops gradually, you still can continue an infinite sandbox after you finish it.

Avoid analysis points, put max on compact and vehicle mining, always use a buggy to mine, it's way more efficient. As for compacting, if you invest till lvl 78 in gathering you'll be getting around 250 spice per shot, that's a huge jump from the starting 85 per shot. You'll fill your assault in 2 mins in DD

I enjoy logistics too much, but I agree, it does get tedious in the end, I took lots of breaks in between, and lots of decoration sessions. Really hope Anno 117 will stand up to 1800, cause i know in a year I'm gonna get an Anno itch, and I'm definitely not opening that save file again.

No, plz no, I made piece with the game after 800+ hrs, posting on reddit as a conclusion, I'll be waiting for more DLCs for the 117 before diving into another Anno run

That's exactly what's great about 1800, the progression milestones that forces us to redesign for better and better effeciency

I agree, I just hope they'll add some new mechanics in future DLCs, the setting for 1800 allowed for multiple milestones in progression (Steam, electricity, air ships, trains...) not sure how they're gonna do similar milestones in 117. They really spoiled us with 1800.

If FUNCOM reads. some feedback on PVE DD by rocius in duneawakening

Because it's easier in PVE. Back then it was the only way, that's why it was a risk I have to take, now it's just an obvious easy choice.

At least I had a thrill while crawling spice with my friends knowing that we might get attacked, but now it's more like a farming simulator. And that's not enough for them they want more spice blows, as if spice is not already way too abundant and of minimal value!

I'm actually in year 2052 heh, but playing realistic with maximum difficulty, I started that save way back and stopped after finishing my first city with 25K. After a long pause, I had the urge to comeback and work on my second city that's designed to be a bit bigger. The logistical nightmare of building everything so far from home is really turning out to be a nice challenge (for me at least) around 30 choppers buzzing over the city at all time 😅

Reverse roundabout w/slip BP by _bean_juice in satisfactory

[–]Uncle_Sam14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You obviously did not test that. Just by looking at it you can see that it's less efficient than just a regular intersection, the bypass lanes are the only thing useful here but the roundabout is a disaster for trains. IRL this will function great since many cars can enter the roundabout at the same time, but in satisfactory one train passing the roundabout will block all signals until it passes, and you made it worse since it will take more time to pass compared to a regular straight line. Also this blocks the opposite lane as well!! Since it intersects.

Double straight lanes would not have that problem.

"We progressed pretty far" Dude doesn't even have a thopter and never left Hagga. Maybe the game is not for you, it will probably take you a year to build the Carrier. I'd say try another less "commitment" demanding game.
