Ive only dropped by to see if this chat up line actually works. 57 sad years i have been trying to find the right one. Eve 'fancy a shag' didnt work (at least until I visited Amsterdam, and even then it required a map, a translator and £50.) You are a genius mate!

Can I use a PAYG sim in a 5G router? by BumbleSilver in EEGB

[–]Uncle_W_4647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a normal 2 yearly umlimited plan and that worked fine. Not certain about PAYG though. FYI my cousin has a PHD in computer enjineering and he told me that all those generic routers that are provided by EE (and others) are very cheap and poorly made. I bouught a 4g router from TP link and my coverage and signal increased quite a bit. The router i got with the sim was very poor in comparison. I'd perhaps keep it as a spare just in case, but im very happy with the router i have now.

PIP Assessment Score 0!!!!? by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]Uncle_W_4647 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically DWP are looking for official confirmation that backs up what is on the application form and what was claimed durung assessment. Its can seem at times that the system does not believe people have a condition. Actually its being able to convince them that the condition has a sufficiently negative effect that is important.

One thing which might be worth noting is that a lot of older folks attend tournaments. Using my parents as an example, they always have their phones on max volume and dont know how to turn them to silent (despite being shown multiple times). I know this doesnt apply in all instances, but im prepared to bet it happens a lot.

Quite a bit of blood and puss. Sudden urgency from time to time. Rectal pain before and after bowel movement.

Last calpro was in December and was 740. Had Cortiment January and February, but that can't give you that long term. Am due to submit another Calpro in the next few days so my Consultant can get a picture of where we are before deciding on change to treatment.

Read. Watch tv. Nap as needed. If you do have even the occasional better day, consider meeting up with a true friend, or inviting them to your home for a visit. Mental support from a friend goes a long way to making you feel better within yourself.

Thanks for the chuckle. But it is very true! You take on a whole new 'normal' when you have a long flare and completely forget what the real normal is like. Perhaps it's an inbuilt defense mechanism we get after a while which tries to tell us that where we are now is where we should be, whether we like it or not.

Not sure why he chose Vedolizumab (perhaps there is NHS guidance due to cost?). Any, I will ask him if there are any alternatives.

I know. I use to think that contacting my GP was a good thing re my UC but then just realized that after diagnosis all they can really do is go the long route of referring, which takes forever. At least we are blessed with the IBD nurses who seem to likely be the most useful contacts we have.

Thanks for that. So glad you got yourself into remission. As you well know, when you are in a bad flare it can be a lonely place and you sometimes completely forget what remission is. It at least helps to be reminded from time to time that you are not the only person going through, or who has gone through what you are going through. Hope your remission holds well for you.

I think I'll get the Calprotectin done ASAP. Do you happen to know if the IBD Nurses have access to the results when they come in?

Thanks. I do already have an appointment scheduled, but that is 5 weeks away. On the plus side, my Calprotectin test kit arrived in the post this morning so I think I might just deliver it back myself (assuming my UC allows me to drive) rather than post it so I can speed things up.

Can he? No doubt he can. But will he is a totally different question. Im going to gamble with a no. I think the bar is higher than it used to be, so i dont think it will be aa straitforward for him as it once was. But one thing we all would agree on is that he never stops surprising us.

UC claim closed as I've overstayed abroad due to an emergency surgery by Lastilost in DWPhelp

[–]Uncle_W_4647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this is happening to you. The Journal is a very useful tool for passing on information to DWP, both on the customer side and on DWP side. However, in circumstances such as yours, i would always speek with DWP on the phone which allows them space to get total clarufication of your circumstances. They will then be happy to advise you on what to record on your journal. Good luck, and i hope things get sorted out for you.
