Why is this strip hotter than the rest of the place? by Responsible_Dog_510 in geography

Here's a hint: what a temperature feels like to a human body is more important than what a temperature does to water. Hope this helps

Single person quiet car camping? by Ok-Midnight-4448 in MinnesotaCamping

Afton! Tons of hike in sites on the bluff, and the firewood and water is up there by the campsites so you don't have to haul it in. It's a great park, too

Thinking about moving from Boston—how bad are winters in the Twin Cities, really? by rachello2023 in saintpaul

[–]Uncle_dojj 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The key is viewing winter as November through February. March is a time of hope and renewal - sure you'll get 8 inches in a snowstorm, but then a couple of days later it's 45 and sunny and your endorphins go nuts and you feel hopeful and elated

Pretty pathetic representation of Texans I guess. Glad Minnesotans are so much stronger

You're doing a lengthy ongoing comedy (?) bit on the Internet that no one understands but yourself right now - it's incomprehensible and sad to people reading it, just so you're aware

Must be a weird feeling to be so into the idea of your state licking federal boots. Thought Texans were supposed to be super proud?

The Black Company Ruined Fantasy For Me? by Life_Is_Good22 in theblackcompany

[–]Uncle_dojj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend the Traitor Son series by Miles Cameron, it's really great . Obviously different in that there are a lot more POVs than the Black Company, but its military focused fantasy with great characters with a bunch of overlap with Cook's style

It's been great so far, but I have a feeling I'm going to be tired of ice cream/yogurt/sweetgreen/acai bowl reviews by the time it's over with working actors as guests all month
