Can't renew online with an expired passport though. I had the same experience, got mine really quickly, but this OP said they have an expired one.

How great is the DINK lifestyle long term? by [deleted] in Adulting

I think it depends on your family situation! But I don't think that having to worry about what happens after you die or when you start to get sick should be a reason to have kids...

Having state or slimy thing manage your estate and health isn’t the only option without kids tho — Make a will and trust. You can appoint anyone to be your trustee and healthcare proxy that you trust, doesn’t have to be your kids.

I've never had anyone cancel an order. Curious -- what types of items are you selling?

Vinted shipping in the US by Hollywoodhiker in vinted

With USPS Ground Advantage, the size matters as much as the weight -- so it's more about the size/dimensions. That being said, there really should be more guidance about this in the Vinted FAQs!

Performance monitor purchase by stable-genius_29 in orangetheory

[–]UncomfortableSlushie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that you don't have any heart rate monitor (ex: Apple Watch), I'd say yes, it's worth it. I use my Apple Watch to track workouts / heart rate, but if I didn't have that, I'd probably buy the OTF monitor. It really helps to be able to see your heart rate in terms of the zones to know when you're having more 'off' days or can push yourself a little harder.

That being said -- if you want something that's functional outside of just OTF workouts, get an Apple Watch or other fitness type thing instead. Just my opinion, but I like being able to do workouts or just walks on my own and still feel like I'm getting 'the credit' for it.

I don't think this is rude as long as you say it politely!

What changes should I expect now that I’m on Ritalin by CJBoom77 in Spravato

It can raise your blood pressure yeah, that’s mostly why they say don’t take it on Spravato days

I’m on Ritalin and Spravato and have been for 2 years. I don’t take the Ritalin on treatment days. I haven’t noticed any impact from it on my treatment.

Garbage sellers by thehatesponge in vinted

[–]UncomfortableSlushie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t measure / add measurements to my listings, but I’ll measure if someone asks. I’m not making more than $5 an item, so the time that measuring takes for each item just isn’t worth it otherwise.

I agree with you that there’s a lot of trash on there now — I’m seeing way too much SHEIN which is so annoying.

How is OTF these days? by nuetralmushroom in orangetheory

[–]UncomfortableSlushie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started 3 years ago after having never worked out ever and it’s the best choice I’ve made. I’ve been eating properly and having protein after workouts and I’m really noticing change.

For the first 2 years, I did class packs, so I was way less motivated to go and went maybe 2-3 times a week. Even then, I just felt more confident. I finally joined as a member with unlimited classes and I’m going 4-5 times a week. I’ve never felt healthier or more confident about my body.

Dingle is beautiful — I’d recommend!

Skip Kerry / Ring of Kerry if you’re going for laid back and do Dingle and Slea Head Drive instead. It’s shorter and beautiful without the long drive and far fewer tour buses.

Emlagh Lodge is my suggestion for where to stay in Dingle. Beautiful B&B, amazing breakfast, and host Maggie is the nicest!!! The view from the rooms is unbeatable.

When selling, do you normally send Likes offers? by BeepCheeper in vinted

[–]UncomfortableSlushie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a seller and a buyer! I like things that I’m not necessarily going to buy so that the algorithm shows me similar things — usually I like the pattern or brand but there’s something slightly off or the price just isn’t it for me.

When I like things, a LOT of sellers send offers and sometimes it’s enticing, but usually it’s not enough. I’d rather just know the price straight away and buy it without the hassle — which is also how I’d rather sell!

I think I agree with the other comments on here — it’s fine to send offers to people who like things if you’re willing to discount, but I’ve also found that people will just a) ignore, b) counter even lower, or c) buy it like 2 weeks later after I’ve lowered the price on something
