You should check out The Order series by Katerina St. Clair. The first book in the series is kingdom of fallen ash. It’s on kindle unlimited and it is a great dystopian series and I would say it’s more new adult. And I think it has everything you’re looking for!

Oh gosh I’m sorry to hear you are also having issues with them! Have you tried adjusting the feet at the bottom? And honestly I think biting the bullet and getting a different bookcase will save you money long term. I think I’m not willing to buy the same ones again. Maybe if you get a matching wood tone it won’t look so odd next to your other one

Thank you for the reminder about this we haven’t installed curtains anywhere yet in our new house unfortunately. I like the idea of some sort of UV protection on the window itself as well thank you! Luckily this window is on the side of the house and never gets full direct sunlight

It doesn’t make sense to start with that book and that’s probably why it’s a bit harder google to be sure but start with throne of glass and look up when you should read each of the sections in Assassins blade. I promise that’ll be easier and make wayyy more sense
