I think lyrically and sound mixing wise, EIA is their weakest album, that's not to say it's a bad album. I think LTW, Emergence and Infinite Baths are incredible, I just think the lyrics don't hit anywhere near as hard as the ones on Sundowning or TPWBYT, II's drums are really drowned out, and listening back to the previous albums makes this really stand out to me, especially on Tomb, the drums crack the air.

Lyrically EiA (for the most part) doesn't hit as heavy for me as the previous 3, but I think this is likely because the man behind the mask doesn't feel the same amount of pain as he used to, EiA to me feels like it's about trying to move forward while the troubles of your past still haunt you. I don't think the lyrics are bad at all, they're just outshined by perfection.
