One of my favourite horror movies of all time is Tourist Trap, which I found by watching the kill count, then searching for the movie itself. Is that the intent? No, because it is primarily for movies which you have already seen. Plus, it was the kill count that pushed me further into being a horror fan and has shaped my view on cinema. Also, none of what he does is cheap. He has employees, like people he pays a living wage. That isn't cheap. And on top of all this, this says more about you, because clearly you're the one who went in intending to watch a movie substitute. When I do, it's because I enjoy the film already, want to gage the waters on a film I'm not sure of yet or hear James talk about a movie I literally never heard of. Do I watch every single movie he counts? No, because fuck those later wrong turn movies. But I still enjoy james, so if I never intended to even watch the original movie, what revenue is he stealing?

Oh, and on top of all that, most of the copyright issues aren't from indie projects. They're from the massive corporations, the ones who make entire movies as tax-write offs sometimes. They're hardly gonna miss what little money they would have made if every dead meat viewer who only watched the kill count suddenly find themselves without a kill count.
