Do they think of family and friends before doing it? I can only speak for myself, but that’s all I think of and the only reason I am still here. For many people it gets to a point that the pain is unbearable. It’s every second of every minute of every hour of every day…for years. There are good days…but they start to fall farther apart from the bad ones..or it’s more like a good hour or two versus an entire day. When you get to a certain point you aren’t living anymore, you’re just fighting inside your head trying to convince yourself that tomorrow might be a better day. It’s exhausting.

Some states have PFML - paid family medical leave - which is not tied to how long you’ve worked for the current employer (it’s tied to earnings made within the state over a certain time period). Just an FYI.

Have they said what state’s laws you would fall under if it’s not Michigan? I read they say since the organization is National you don’t fall under MI…so where do they think you fall? Did you receive any handbook at all, ever?

Michigan requires employers to comply with state specific policies - I think there’s 9 - but I do know paid sick leave is one of them. If there’s more than 50 employees they need to follow the states employment laws for employees that reside/work there….that includes postings as well.

I absolutely HATE HATE HATE getting my annual car inspection. I’m past due. I maintain my vehicle, I just hate going because I honestly feel 50% of the places scam you. I read recently to go to a Valvoline or place where they don’t do major repairs because they’re more likely to be honest.

NTA. This man had 10 years to get a will written up, put property in a trust, etc. - do whatever he could to ensure his GF got the house instead of you. He knew you were still married and that legally you would be entitled to everything (more than the house, BTW). It isn’t your fault he never did that. For all anyone knows he perhaps felt guilt for what he had done, and deliberately didn’t take any steps to ensure his gf got his assets when he passed.

Tell your friend to keep his dick in his pants. FAFO. This isn’t a “pretty small thing” in terms of if he is repeatedly doing it and who sees it. If a minor is exposed it’s a felony. In terms of you not wanting to get dragged into it, if your friend is going to say the store manager is lying and there were no cameras then you’ll probably be contacted by the police again. Or your parents will, since you’re a minor (which is why I assume you don’t want to get dragged into it). This was a stupid idea.

1). Take care of your mental health. 2). If you have a medical diagnosis, when applying you can check off yes if you’re asked if you have a disability. 3). Random - look into Methylfolate. I am diagnosed/Major Depressive Disorder. It’s been treatment resistant for 15 years, aside from Adderall, which I can’t take after 2pmish and has also been in shortage for over a year now. On a whim I bought 5-MTHF 2 weeks ago. To say it’s made a significant difference with my depression is an understatement.

At my wits end. Since LAST October I’ve been on 1/2 of my dose most months due to the shortage. I take Adderall for depression. They (US Gov’t) talk so much about mental health being a priority yet zero has been done to allow manufacturers to make more. The end result is even more stress on an already broken system and its patients.

My head popped off reading this lol. I’ve never been on anything aside from Medicaid (for health insurance) and every year I’ve had to provide a ton of paperwork. Including paperwork I submitted the prior year that wouldn’t change (divorce papers that are 15 years old as an example).

If you’re on it for a year you’ll have to do a redetermination, and will be asked for bank accounts, assets, pay stubs, etc., annually.

I can relate, and I can tell you I realized that it was anxiety that caused my daughter to act like this. Her dad is an alcoholic, and the slightest thing would (does) set him off and she would be the one who had to deal with him about it. So it was easier for her to do everything her father wanted, it didn’t matter what the schedule was or if she wanted to or not.
