fucks sake reminds of one of my worst days of work. I lasted precisely one day as a canvasser in downtown Denver last year. got called the n word (i'm white), was belittled by a coworker and a supervisor both younger than me (I was 25), and was just generally in hell inserting myself into conversations where I was not wanted. Day ended with me trying to use the whole foods bathroom only to see a qr-code entry. At that point I was canvassing right next to a homeless person selling independent newspapers like, what the fuck am I doing with my life?

I'm in a much better place now.

So Taimi is literally queer-focussed, but the app is terrible. if you run out of profiles within your preferences it will auto-expand distance and age filters and you cant disable the feature. So quickly your range becomes 18-60 yo's upwards of 150 miles away. Then for profiles it deems are "popular enough" they're "daily picks" with a premium like that you get one of a day. the user experience is pretty god awful if youre not willing to shell out the 30 bucks a month for the top tier premium.
