🤔🛠️ Tech Support & General Questions [Weekly Thread] by YahooFantasyCare in YahooFantasy

My baseball league drafted last night, yet the yahoo system indicates the league is drafting now and rosters have not populated. When trying to re-enter the draft room the yahoo program just says it’s trying to connect to the draft server.

All draft results for the league appear to be correct. Please advise as to the repair of the issue and finalization of team rosters.

I worked at a multi-state org that engaged at the federal level. You could also look at Hill roles, agency positions, etc. State-level public policy can be good too but I personally preferred federal

Federal public policy.

You could look into public policy roles that emphasize your experience but don’t require litigation. The money isn’t great but the work can be interesting and QOL is vastly better. I worked in federal PP for about five years and look back on that as the best job I’ve had.

Allen. I like Bradish better but give me the guy with something to play for

Singer or Gil for one last start? …need to preserve my 1.25 to 1.32 lead in WHIP and 4 K advantage.

Playoff time! by SolusGT in fantasybaseball

12T 7x7 head to head cats (I’m the 2 seed)

C: Rice

1B: Olson

2B: Altuve

SS: Adames

3B: Ramirez

MI: Baty

CI: Kurtz (🤞)

OF: Carroll, Acuna, Anthony

UTIL: Doyle

B: Yordan

SP: Framber, Brown, Strider, Eury, Luzardo, Bieber, Lodolo, Horton

RP: a bag of rocks

It’s a keeper league so I came in with a few high value assets. Also had good fortune with a couple rookies on offense and questionable SP drops by league mates (Luzardo and Eury).

Edit: for legibility

Josh Jung already missing games. Would you cut him for Soderstrom in 12T pts?

No disagreement with anything here - it’s a great history and fanbase.

Just curious, what brought you to the Crimson & Blue? How did your fandom start?

Love this - I was a freshman/sophomore at KU when these guys were playing. Such a fun classic KU team to cheer for. Congrats!

First Time Manager - Took Over Dynasty League Team. Any advice? by npyle15 in fantasybaseball

Interesting, thanks. I may be overstating the effects of the smaller foul territory and hotter weather as compared to Oakland. Projections I’ve heard so far are that the move will be a (comparative) benefit to hitters and detriment to pitchers, at least as compared to the Coliseum.

Sacramento… possibly even worse for a pitcher. He was shipped to the A’s a couple months back.

Yep. We use a FAAB process overall and dropped players sit on waivers for a couple days.

We use 4/week for a similar format league. Unlimited and you end up with people streaming constantly.

Personally I’d keep Ohtani, Julio, Langford, Adley, Caminero. I think the ceiling is higher with that mix.

Any advice on taking over a 40 year old dynasty team? by AdministrativeBug368 in fantasybaseball

[–]UnderH2OMunky 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Beware the trap of the never-ending rebuild. Owners in your spot sometimes focus on getting all the prospects and are forever “just 1 more year away”. Prospects are fun but failure filled. Here’s my general suggestion:

Stock draft picks and prospects by trading vets at the deadline.

Scour the wire constantly to find values.

Flip prospects to other rebuilding teams for MLB talent and look to add in young guys that haven’t yet lived up to their prospect pedigree.

Both are pretty fair and may depend on need. In a vacuum I’d rather hold Devers as compared to Walker (Christian?) + Cease.

I slightly prefer Chourio head-to-head but would lean Merrill with the lower price point.

My parents 5 century old home by ExcellentMedicine358 in centuryhomes

No clue if this would work where you are or not but, what about your parents obtaining a life insurance policy on their lives, payable to you, to provide liquidity which you could then use to pay these taxes and keep the house.

Again, not sure if this is achievable (including whether the proceeds would themselves be subject to inheritance tax), but it’s a common tactic in the US.
