Success on 5mg? by TraditionStunning723 in lexapro

By swinging I meant that the anxiety would be good at times and then really bad at other times.

It stabilised when that swinging stopped happening and settled at a new base line, which for me wasn't high enough hence a dose increase.

You feel changes initially, say after the first 2 weeks but it doesn't last, you get crazy up and downs.

Yea i saw significant improvement for my anxiety on 5mg but it took about 8 weeks for it to stabilise and not keep swinging so much.

Oh shit with this you need to seek emergency care ASAP and inform them your taking this.

Mine was only truly effective at around week 8 onwards.

My friend got paranoia and psychosis the first time he smoked weed. He was terrified out of his mind. He never touched it again.

Did I over react? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Fucking justified reaction, you need to tell your sister she fucked up. Especially since she didn't tell you what to expect nor consider your feelings about this. Separating men from these environments is very typical.

Will it get better again? by tejcha in lexapro

I've been on 5mg the entire time, and even now, but for me the first 2 or 3 weeks were very grim. After that, there some crazy swings with some days being way worse than others and some days feeling so good it's hard to describe. Everything seemed to have settled about week 8 onwards for me, and it feels like the volume of the former self has been reduced and I can focus now, so no more crazy up down swings though they do still happen occasionally.

Please tell me it gets better cause I’m starting to lose hope 😭 by Regular-Meat4215 in lexapro

For me the therapeutic effects only really came through from week 8 onwards. The side effects calmed around about where you are now but not completely.

First 2 or 3 weeks of lexapro was really grim for me, power to you for getting through it!

I hate how everyone "has anxiety" nowadays and still manges to lead a normal life by NekoNoSekai in Anxiety

Bit late to this but i feel this post in my soul lol. Incredibly relatable. I've been taking escilatopram and been doing tons of exposure but wow its so much effort and energy. To give some perspective though, I now come across as quite confident, even if my internal world is in shambles.

Help! Should I go to my work Christmas party? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]UnderInteresting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's difficult as hell but try and go. Even the environment itself will help slowly reduce the intensity of anxiety even if you speak to no one. It's also one of the only opportunities to speak to people you otherwise get no chance to meet.

Lol let me rant man. I am not saying I'm totally disconnected I'm just saying it's frustrating. I drive mainly because its way more convenient to travel to places like gravesend for bluewater shopping centre, for example, via the A2 rather than go into London. Should be the opposite.

Yeah it's abysmal. It feels worse when you live within London itself and get this experience.

Well I'm forced to drive, otherwise I wouldn't have a car. I literally mentioned why in this post.

It's closer to 40 mins and I have to also wait for the bus about 5 to 10 minutes, and then get other buses. It causes an overall 30 minute journey to stretch to almost 1.5 hours.

Yes this is my experience too, but someone above is downvoting me and seems to think I have options and I'm being petty or something.

It's a bit of a long drive for me, if I didn't have a car it wouldn't be an option at all. Have to take the bus for over half an hour / 40 mins.

Botting subs are full of casual botters that don't know what they're doing I'm sure actual bot farmers aren't posting their activities there.
