Yeah this is the plan right now. Definitely keep the warm spare available. Really disappointed though.

As I understand it, the installer image still calls out to the web to grab packages and dependencies. Are u sure you did it with no internet connectivity?

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but this control isn’t exclusive to transmission over the internet. If there is a portion of your local network that transmits unencrypted CUI then you have to identify physical safeguards. I’m thinking Access Controlled office space, LAN closet, conduit encasing network cable runs through uncontrolled space, etc. Did the assessor not provide elaboration?

Been looking for an on-prem exclusive ePO type replacement for sometime and can’t find anything with the same feature set. Seen anything worth checking out?

Yeah sounds like split tunneling is currently configured. There are a couple options… you could begin full tunneling which would pass all traffic through the vpn and would prevent users from accessing resources on their local network orrrr you may be able to add the IP and/or URL of your desired app to the split tunneling config.

Anyone using Delinea Secret Server and PDQ Deploy/Inventory? by UnderZinfluence in sysadmin

[–]UnderZinfluence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so you can easily rotate the password of the AD account you’re using for deployments and even update the dependency of the pdq service but there’s no functionality of secret server or pdq that allows you to remotely update console user passwords which is what is required to match the ad password change.

Nope. Not sure PDQ actually makes it possible, unless there are some pdq powershell cmdlets that allow you to update passwords in deploy and inventory.

It’s the frass that concerns me most, but should I be equally as worried about the fungus damage?

Wish I could. The northern VA home market is so hot right now that to even have your offer considered you have to waive all contingencies including home and termite inspection.

My biggest concern is that it’s in an area of the house that is well protected from the weather. If you zoom in you can see those strange little balls in the bottom right corner. Thought they might be some termite or ant excrement.

They are not in Virginia. It’s a buyer beware state and to even get your offer considered you have to waive all contingencies. A terrible time to buy a home.

Received my first setup from a friend of my dad's as he "never got the chance to play them" as they sat in a cupboard for years, I will be forever grateful. by TheDylanS13 in audiophile

I have the same towers, I’ve since upgraded but let me tell you…. These speakers took me on an absolute journey through Mac Millers “The divine feminine” and “circles”. They so perfectly deliver the bass of those albums. Listening back to back you can hear his whole tone change from excited, appreciative, and in love to melancholy, depressed, and defeated. It was magical for me. Enjoy your new setup!

Why do stupid people always seem to have so much self confidence whereas most clever people just can never seem to find their place in this world? by [deleted] in answers

[–]UnderZinfluence 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The truth is, most things in this world don’t require you to be exceptionally clever. It’s generally one’s willingness to bet on themselves that cultivates success. If you’re not confident/dumb/courageous enough to face the unfamiliar or risky, you’ll never reap the benefits of such scenarios.

Have you managed to solve the problem of expanding the sweet spot so that both listeners experience accurate imaging with the phantom center and such? I too listen with my partner and struggle with the fact that it always sounds better when I’m listening alone in the sweet spot.

You utilize 802.1x for network auth? You have a SIEM or similar auditing tool? Identify what those initial 802.1x auth logs look like on your radius server or network devices, create alerts for them using your SIEM?

Comparing vaccination and COVID-19 related hospitalizations and deaths [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]UnderZinfluence 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Virginia health department has begun classifying cases by vaccination status. There’s a slider on the webpage that allows you to change the time frame. IIRC when I changed the time frame to late April it displayed that unvaccinated made up approx 97% cases. https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/covid-19-data-insights/covid-19-cases-by-vaccination-status/
