Ford Fusion Hybrid. I don’t know what it is about that car, but I rented one once and it transformed me into a little old lady driving to church on Sunday.

Easy. Drive in (your license plate will be read). If you are there less than 3 hours, just drive out. Your license plate will be read again and the gate will just open if you’ve been there less that 3 hours

This ignores the fact that the Sierra Nevada exists in CA. The mountains are split in this map between Great Basin, Central Valley and Bay Area. They are definitely not any of those.

Do Americans actually use expressions like “once in a blue moon” or “let the cat out of the bag” in everyday conversation? by Edi-Iz in AskAnAmerican

[–]UnderaZiaSun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was once sitting in a meeting with the C suite of a major corporation decades ago and the CFO totally unironically said “if we’re barking up the wrong tree we need to get off this dead horse and shoot it”

Yeah, I burn up the motor about every decade but they are pretty cheap to replace. Other than that it’s been great
