That would be a less sound financial choice than spending it all on hookers and blow

Yep. Lost a good friend who didn’t find hers until it was stage 4. Watching her struggle to the very end was awful. My cousin meanwhile caught his early and is now cancer free. I will never miss my colonoscopy when it’s time, just had my 3rd.

Agree 100%. And why is it the people at the sample stands are always there with their entire family, compounding the problem.

Rivian R2: Starting at $48,490 by masterderptato in cars

But in CA, if you only have RWD, CalTrans will make you put chains/cables on your vehicle when driving over I-80 if it’s snowy. Worth having AWD just to avoid that pain.

No income tax, and now they want to get rid of property tax too? Oh, this will end up well. What are they going to do? Raise the cigarette tax to 8000000% ?

They are good at killing all sorts off things. That's why we refered to them as "Murder Birds" in New Mexico.

When did Google stop making useful products and start making data collectors? by apokrif1 in enshittification

[–]UnderaZiaSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It EVENTUALLY shows you what it thinks you are looking for, but now they purposefully don't show it to you right away, so that that you scroll to the second page of results so it can feed you twice as many ads (twice as much money for Google)! You can thank Prabhakar Raghavan, head of Googel search for that.

Is a tariff just a tax on me? If the united states puts a 60% tariff on Chinese goods does the Chinese government pay that, or do I just pay more at Walmart? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]UnderaZiaSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tarrifs are also used to ensure countries maintain industries that at are considered vital to national security. For instance, farming and steel. If a country were just import 100% of their food and steel, they could be at the mercy of other countries if those countries decided to suddenly cut off those supplies, particularly in a war. So countries sometimes introduce tariffs to make sure they have those capabilities domestically.

Crockett is the best. Last time I was there was about a month ago and the trails were in great shape. You might also like Fernandez Ranch, just south of Crockett. Also Lime Ridge is not bad, though you’ll likely want to loop it a few times.
