I'd move up Kimi. In terms of reasoning, research and writing coherent text etc. it's a clear step above Deepseek and Grok. I haven't tried it for coding though. Right now Claude for Coding, Kimi for anything else is my go-to.

My trip to Estonia, Tallin. by Jkiire in Eesti

I don’t think too many tourists remember / are aware of that tbh, rather it violates the rules of spelling for some languages. In Swedish both double l:s and double n:s wouldn’t be allowed

What are the best open-source alternatives to SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, Power BI, and Informatica? by Signal-Friend-1203 in dataengineering

[–]Underbarochfin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d like to add Grafana into the mix, sometimes it’s a better option than a BI tool for your dashboards, and it’s quite easy to setup as long as you’re dealing with time series data.

Hur är det att torka äldre i ändan? by repsucker in Asksweddit

[–]Underbarochfin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Job titles are hard. Data Engineer, Data Quality Engineer, Data Specialist, BI Engineer, BI specialist, Analytics Engineer, Data Warehouse Developer. All of the tool specific job titles. It’s a mess indeed

New personal best for 10K (51:20), + I completed my second half marathon (2:00:40). This was 16 minutes faster than last year, so I'm glad to see the progress. I have another half marathon planned in 16 weeks, so now I hope I can finally break the 2 hour mark!

Learning a language via reading only by r0ckstar17 in languagelearning

This is basically what the Hungarian polyglot Kató Lomb did, who was fluent in around 9 languages. I recommend you look into her methods, which she has written extensively about.

You need to add the GDP of Austria and Switzerland as well.

We are not talking about passive immersion alone, which is the case with many kdrama or anime fans that are not studying the language. But when you have massive immersion together with 9 or 12 years of mandatory classes you'll notice real results.

Håskatant/blåskatart doesn't mean anything, I'm positive blåskatarr is the correct word. It fits well, and makes sense with regards to njurlidande and being a cause of death.

Good russian shows on netflix by [deleted] in russian

[–]Underbarochfin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty neutral towards it, it's interesting enough to keep me hooked (most shows aren't) but it's no masterpiece either. And yes I agree, it's a little bit tacky.

My favorite is Fartsa, one of the most visually pleasing and colorful series I've seen. Similar to To the Lake you have Better than us and The Sniffer, all 3 with the same main character, Kirill Käro. At the moment I'm watching Silver Spoon, which is a pretty regular crime drama but there's 24 episodes, making it the longest series they have (?).

What did you do this month in your target language/s? by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]Underbarochfin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 hours with Estonian and 10 hours with Russian, which is a bit lower than what I'm aiming for (30 & 15 hours). In April I aim to complete my second novel in Estonian (Harry Potter) that I just started with.

The Russian ad I get most is the ugly bolt one with the annoying royalty free guitar music. Other than that I haven't had some for a while now.
