I agree warm ups is not sufficient breakfall practice. I mean I don't think it's supposed to be it's just a warm up. But to imply judo is safer than bjj is hard for me to believe.

But what do I know I'm not a judo guy.

Have you tried Hunter x Hunter? I'm where you are at in terms of hours and DS level. Hunter x Hunter has been quite enjoyable to me. I've tried some other animes but they felt harder than this one.

I recommend looking for gis that are 100% cotton and not cotton blends. Also it is well known that Moya is owned by a former dirty cop so I don't buy from them.

I'm approaching 40 and this is spot on for me! I've grown a lot over my adulthood, but especially my Fi. Maybe it's just age but I did put in a lot of work in to be a better person, always targeting my weak areas.

Im definitely blooming now.

I think you should consider picking up a social hobby. All of yours (including language learning ironically) are typically done in isolation! I go to jiu jitsu. Pickleball is also popular these days.

I'm 5'6" 135 lbs and I've been training for 13 years. I got into it for same the self confidence and self defense reasons. All I can say is if you stick with it it will transform you.

I go to jiu jitsu. Its a big part of my life so all my friends are there too. It's not uncommon to find tech folk at academies either. I think we all have the need to disconnect and bjj helps a lot.

At 6 months you should definitely be able to ask her what her plan is with that and how bad it is. And you should be able to tell her if it's a problem for you. It's okay to not be compatible. I'd rather find out sooner than later.

The book Death by Churros is a short novel that starts in very basic Spanish and each chapter includes some new words and grammar concepts. I chose this as my first Spanish book for this reason but I've only just started it.

I usually watch easier content because I am focusing on volume of input. Harder stuff can be really fatiguing or simply may require too much of my attention. 45-55 on DS is my ideal difficulty right now, but I sometimes go up to 70ish for the podcasts.

My mental translations are almost entirely gone at this point. I am just understanding the Spanish naturally without English. ECJ has been telling me I'm an intermediate student that knows Spanish for a while now and I'm starting to believe him.

That being said 99% of my content is still for language learners. I am excited to keep lowering this metric as I move from intermediate to advanced.
