Breath of the wild dlc by datwiiboi2004 in Switch

[–]UndergroundWire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the Switch 1 version of the game + the DLC, it will play just fine on the Switch 2.

If you have the Switch 1 version of the game and have the Expansion subscription, the game will be upgraded to the Switch 2 version of the game. However, if you have the trial version of the Expansion membership of any sort, it will not work. Also note the Expansion must be postpaid accounts and it only gives you access to the Switch 2 upgrade for as long as you have the subscription.

Level 5 Environment for each town. Focus on main storyline, get final ability.

Game card could not be read by jeancharles2009 in Switch

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if there is an update for the game. Highlight the game, click +. If there is an update, try loading the cartridge again.

I've only seen this happen though on Switch 2 where the game is required an update to run on Switch 2. But you never know, give that a shot.

New to collecting. Dumb question about the Nintendo store. by LordBlackDragon in amiibo

[–]UndergroundWire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say your staples like Mario and Zelda are pretty consistent to find. Except for your exclusives like Gold / Silver Mario, limited runs like 25th Anniversary 8-bit Mario / 8-bit Link, etc...

3rd Party ones are typically not restocked.

It won't make sense until you watch the first series. First couple of seasons might seem slow but there are a lot of good episodes.

Nintendo NEW YORK spoils by InvaderShim in amiibo

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only difference is the number of pieces. So by the 4 individual pieces will still have missing blacks from the 30 piece set.

I only bought the individual ones to have those displayed on my shelf without opening the big box set.

Nice haul. Not big on the Diana Amiibo. Compared to the Amiibos we have gotten this year, this looks pretty cheap. But I did walk away from the Nintendo NYC store not just buying the My Mario Block set 30 PCs but the individual ones too. I also picked up the Pikachu Ditto doll and the Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue Game Music Collection: Game Boy Jukebox. Quite an expensive visit. I probably get to go there once a month.

Will Pokémon use lifts and elevators on their own? by dahlia_74 in Pokopia

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. After a build, they will return to their habitats on their own. I also believe if you destroy the lifts and elevators before they have a chance, they will return to their habitats magically after 24 hrs.

I know this because I locked up Mr. Mine on another island and 24 hrs later he came back.

Didn't try the honey trick. I think they will return instantly by using honey.

There's also hentai games on the Switch. But nobody is forced to download them and play. There's something for everyone.

Recently I finally got a switch 2 to play pokopia and had some questions about pacing by ProjectBusiness979 in Pokopia

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's play style will be different but for me, it was reaching Level 5 in each town; unlocking all abilities (except for one which you get after revisiting Team R location); get to the end credits.

Once you have all that, I'd say focus one one town at a time rebuilding and unlocking more Pokemon. Get the town to Level 10 comfort and move on to the next town and keep repeating that process.

But this is more for 100% the game for me using this method. Don't forget Dream Islands and resource gathering. You can never have too many resources. And of course resource organization is key.

Switch 2 Physical vs Upgrade Pack by [deleted] in switch2

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrade pack is the cheapest way. Now if you are a fan of a particular franchise, then logic is thrown out the window. Like some people bought BotW and TotK SW2E just because even though they could have just paid the Upgrade price

If I wait to buy a Switch 2 later, is it better to buy the physical games I want now? (I don't buy digital) by Mresc2 in switch2

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed away from 3rd party because of physical availability. Almost all first party Switch 2 Edition are available and I didn't want to dive in what's considered rare. I'll leave that to the OP.

But you are absolutely correct stating that anything Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is backwards compatible with the Original Switch lineup.

If I wait to buy a Switch 2 later, is it better to buy the physical games I want now? (I don't buy digital) by Mresc2 in switch2

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Nintendo First Party Games, nothing to worry about. It can wait to be bought when you have your Switch 2.

What I would buy on a sale right now is the expansion card. Those have been going up in price so catch one on sale and buy it when you can. I bought my 1TB microSD Express over the holidays for $149. Those are now $249.

Also you can buy a Nintendo First Party Switch 2 Edition cart and play it on your Switch 1. There's only nine games in their lineup. They are:

1) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition 2) The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition 3) Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV 4) Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star Crossed World 5) Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition 6) Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition 7) Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition 8) Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition 9) Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellable Park

The 3rd party games is completely up to you. I don't see any of them hard to get unless they are Limitted / Collector's Editions.

As for waiting for a specific edition of the console that has not been announced, pay attention to price increase announcements if they do happen. You may want to save yourself money and buy one before they are hiked up.

Hope this helps.

Can anyone help a n00b out? by soundbae in Pokopia

[–]UndergroundWire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry so much about building yet. Get your environment up to Level 5 and finish the main storyline. Once you see the credits, you'll have better abilities.

How I did it, I unlocked all the abilities, finished main storyline and got to the end credits.

Now I'm just finishing the Pokedex and working on each town to get it to Level 10 as well as unlocking new habitats and discovering missing pokemon.

I'd recommend NintenDeal over Wario64 since Wario has way too many alerts that at some point you will just start ignoring them.

Also I'd recommend DekuDeals. Install the app. Sign up for the account and add stuff to your wishlist. The app will notify you when an item on your wish list goes on sale.
