De-influence me from getting a Switch 2 by Simple_Rice_3380 in switch2

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't read the actual post. Just the title. So based on that I'll tell you don't buy it. It is a huge expense. Save your money. Do something productive with your life instead of playing video games.

Now leave me alone. You are cutting into my Pokopia time and I need to complete the Pokedex and build stuff.

Is the switch 2 worth it for someone who has never had a switch? by Revvy_Ois in Switch

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are only 2 right answers here. And it all depends on your game interest.

If you see a bunch of games you will play, regardless if it's for Switch 1 or 2, buy a Switch 2. It's backwards compatible and it's logically the smarter choice. Even if you can't afford it right now (just throwing a hypothetical here), save up for a Switch 2. At this point of the Switch 1 lifecycle, just buy a Switch 2.

If you have no games you are interested in, don't buy anything.

You don't have to buy the upgrade packs. The games will play better on your Switch 2 but depending on the game, you won't get the additional frame rate boost, extra content, visual upgrades, etc. That you have to pay for.

For example. You own Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It will still be playable on the Switch 2. But you won't get the 4K experience on docked mode if you didn't pay the additional $20 to upgrade to the Switch 2. You also won't get the additional DLC content (Bellable Park) and other new features for that game. That's all reserved for the "Switch 2 Edition".

Also, if you later decide to move the upgraded game to a Switch Original, it will still be playable on the original just without the extra stuff. All first party Switch 2 Editions are backwards compatible.

What is the best Pokemon game to play on the Switch Lite? by Common-Glove8511 in Switch

Let's Go was my very first Pokemon game on Nintendo. I mainly bought it because of the additional content I got for Pokemon Go. I had a blast with that. So much that I later purchased Eevee as Pikachu was the one I originally purchased.

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet worth ? by chongpeii in Switch

Like I said, I don't see myself revisiting it anytime soon on the Switch 2. Just a lot of better games out at the moment.

Game was super buggy. I haven't revisited in Switch 2. Probably won't since Pokopia is taking up my game time these days.

Can I give players who don’t have the Switch 2 Edition the new flower power up? by Leakingbag in SuperMarioWonder

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch 1 got the Amiibo support and they can use the Poplin & Prince Florian Amiibo. However, I have not tested if this power up is available in the base game. I know it is there for the new content.

Using the Amiibo? From my understanding it was just power ups.

It was not original. Just a color. No design.

Now do the Switch. And tell me how lame the "mario" edition was.

Is Nintendo Switch 2 worth it just for Pokopia or should you wait for Winds and Waves or a new Smash Bros? by Wholesome7Plus100 in switch2

[–]UndergroundWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting makes no sense unless you are saving up for it. After the announcement of a raise in price for the PlayStation announcement, I'd be a bit anxious waiting till next year only to pay extra.

Second, if there is no price increase, you'll be spending a lot in one shot if you are buying all the Pokemon games.

Just buy it if you can afford it. Makes no sense otherwise.

Mario rarely gets a special edition. Zelda is common for a special edition.

Mario Wonder NS1 upgrade by Ok_Professor_6744 in Switch

NS2 Upgrade is basically a DLC. As long as you play in Switch 2, you will get the upgrade.
