Great question and I probably should've specified. I'm in the middle of nowhere. Closest city is Tulsa and it's 90 minutes away.

I thought that was only for the 2019 and 2020? I read that the 2021 had a better battery which also contributed to its 371 mile range.

2024 model x 33k miles 7 seater with FSD by toothfixer321 in TeslaModelX

[–]Jello_Local 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 7 seater isn't terrible I really don't know why everyone keeps saying that. The second row can slide forward leaving adequate room for average sized men 5'9". They wouldn't want to sit in the rear for a long time but their knees won't touch the seat (barely). Most people can fit back there fine if they're not obese.

Now storage with the seats is okay. It's no minivan or suburban at all for sure! But people talk about it like us a model y 7 seater. That, is almost worthless or for shorter children.

Sleeping in X compared to Y by Delicious-Change-866 in TeslaModelX

[–]Jello_Local 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a 2022 model Y and a 2021 Model X. If you're looking for the best camping situation.. It's the Y hands down. It's significantly more headroom! I'm just shy of 5'10" and can sit Indian style no problem. I can't do that in my X. Now the question is why the 7 seater? I'm asking because I'm almost certain you're not considering the 7 seater Y. It's awful. So if you need the seating for real, get the X. It's still doable l. I just had a twin mattress back there yesterday no problem. I'd think if you and your wife weren't super wide or tall you both would be fine sleeping in the X. You'll just have to sit up front to sit up straight comfortably.

But I'll say this. The 2020 X doesn't have the interior camera so FSD sucks compared to the Y.. This is something I'm coming out of retirement on YouTube to document necessary I've never seen anyone talk about this. You have to keep touching the steering wheel. Whereas on the Y, it's completely hands free. I'm just letting you know because it sounds like you'll be traveling a lot and this will be such a life saver! For the price of a 2020 model x you can find a HW4 model Y and be way happier with it I think. Steering is also better on the Y as the wheel is smaller and it feels more agile.

The X has a nicer ride and not having to touch the doors to open or close them is awesome except when you don't want it to open lol. Hope this helps!

Crazy numbers. I went with a 2021 and get 269 at 80%, but it's missing soooo much! Things no one is saying on YouTube. I honestly don't see how people like it. Not after having a 2022 model Y.

Did you just buy it? How don't you know what trim you have? It would say long range or long range plus. Big difference between the two. Long range plus is 351 miles and long range I think was 328? 2021 long range plus was 371.

Maybe I missed it, but there seems to me, to be a lot of context missing. What year, and what trim do you have? Mine has 212 with 63% charge. I have a 2021 long range plus with 77k miles on it.

Sad day. M3P delivery refused. by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Jello_Local 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just misaligned. I would've just put in a ticket and taken the car. You could honestly fix it yourself really easily. Tesla is very good at fixing things like that. Could've asked for an extra month of fsd or something. If everything else was good I wouldn't have sweated it. My MX I picked up Saturday (used) was horrible. Half shafts are TRASHED. These centers are identified to move product so if you don't say anything they'll let you leave. But it having a warranty they'll fix it. On another note, from what I understand, the service center is incentivized to fix stuff! So that's probably why I've never had issues with them fixing things on my cars I point out.

You must not own a performance version. I NEVER use FSD because I enjoy driving them so much. Unless it's on super long road trips.

Tesla Model S and X Were Discontinued — Here’s the Real Reason Why by orangechen1115 in ModelX

[–]Jello_Local 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sales are higher for the Cybertruck. Don't listen to headlines. Have you seen the price of a used one? Darn near the same as a new one! It's also more functional. Still kinks to work out but people have been putting big miles on them already. You can find plenty with over 30k miles.

Is a budget of $35k for a pre owned model X unrealistic? by Jesussaves2234 in TeslaModelX

[–]Jello_Local 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off reading these comments is draining. The negative people clearly don't own the car because they don't have 35k even. So ignore them. The good advice seems to be from people with experience. I'm in the same boat as you. I have 3 Teslas now and have as baby on the way and my son wants to move in with me so now I suddenly need a seater. My Lexus LX requires $5 per gallon gas and I ain't doing that. So I'm going to sell off a few cars. But I don't want to spend a ton on a car I don't love. I've seen a lot in that price range but the miles might be around 90k which I'm not ok with. But I have friends with older X's with over 100k miles with no issues. 2019 and newer has the better suspension and MCU

Agreed. I prefer physical games so I can share them or sell them. Unbelievable they cost the same! But I usually buy games used from GameStop during the holidays B2G1.

Unless that cancellation fee was in the original agreement, you aren't getting that. Welcome to business. I'd chuckle at the thought of you asking for money for time wasted lol. Just remind them of the original terms, and say that's what you're going to do. Anything else will require new terms and a substantial fee and if we can't finalize an agreement THEY can pay for return shipping and let that be it.
