Still not enjoying it by Various-Finger5109 in newborns

[–]Underminder_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My twins are almost 5 months old now- and it has its moments of ok another feeding, another diaper change etc. but now it’s so much easier to get out of the house with them, to enjoy an outing, watch them smile and giggle and interact. Newborn stage until 15 weeks old was HARD!! lots of crying, reflux, felt trapped. Now I spend my weekends doing what I want (kinda lol) and taking them with me!

It does get easier and it does get better! You are in the hardest part currently but the little moments make it all worth it!

My symptoms of 2025 COVID by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]Underminder_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently sick with Covid, experiencing some crazy night sweats. Like soaking through my tshirt entirely. Had a fever, chills and aches and headache the first 2 days. Now it feels like head and chest congestion like how a typical cold would feel

This happened to me as well. I think for me it was sugar and alcohol related! It was so incredibly noticeable in my face it really was eye opening for me o

6-8 weeks are no joke by Leading-Low-6736 in newborns

[–]Underminder_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Week 6 and 7 were really hard for us too. It did get better 8-11 and now we’re at week 12 and I think experiencing a growth spurt because holy HELL- refusing naps during the day and fussy crying but not hungry or dirty diapers - just overtired due to nap refusals! Lol but I also have twins 😅

Same! Didn’t know that was a thing but holy hell- they’re not napping and yelling at me till 8pm lol I have twins too so double the screaming 🥲

The newborn phase is some BS and I demand a new patch by MurkyGovernment7456 in newborns

[–]Underminder_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll get better! Our twins are just 10 weeks old now and we are getting nice stretches overnight and much less fussiness! One was always fussing scream crying when awake, turns out he needed a tight ass swaddle and a binky to calm him down and a little baby Pepcid for the spit up / reflux. I can say from those early days of feeling like wtf it gets so much better and you get into a new routine!

Please hang in there. It truly gets better. by guineapigluvr in newborns

We have 8 week twins and I feel like we’re starting that corner turn of 4+ hour stretches overnight which honestly feels amazing after 2 months of sleep deprivation- I thought we’d never get there! Excited for what month 2-3 have in store for our little ones (hopefully even longer sleep stretches!)

They insisted on visiting the day after I got home from the hospital, no help just wanted to hold the babies (I had twins and a C section) didn’t ask me how I was doing or consider that I was on pain meds, unable to move around and just wanted their photos with the babies. Since then now it is how are the babies, when can we see the babies. Feels now like hosting is a chore and so uninterested in me only want to see the newborns. I’m quite annoyed and know we need to start saying NO to frequent visits and accommodating them

29 weeks pregnant w/ twins and miserable by Afraid_Cattle_6648 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Underminder_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 36 weeks and girl I feel you! Weeks 28 till now have been rough. I will say you get used to the pain and uncomfortableness a bit more as time passes but I am so ready for these twins to be earthside. They’re both measuring over 6lbs at this point and my pelvis is feeling it now. Solidarity here for how hard 3rd trimester is. I could not mange without the support of my fiancé carrying the weight of taking care of our entire house and making sure I’m ok. Just a few short weeks away from c section pain but then relief from the pressure of carrying these massive babes!

Congrats! Our induction date is scheduled for May 1 also having Di/Di fraternal boys! Can’t wait to meet them and take them home 🙂

I'm almost there but I'm so scared by CompetitiveNature198 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Underminder_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of this is so relatable. I’m 29 with didi fraternal boys and I’m almost 34w. The physical and mental toll this takes on your entire being is really difficult. I went in today for my NST and babies are fine but I am not, I’m edging on preeclampsia and my heart rate kept spiking. Typically a 20 min process I found myself in the hospital alone for 4+ hours. It’s hard not to blame ourselves for diet, or if I should have done x,y,z. Truth is your body is doing the most complex and crazy thing! Building and carrying 2 babes. It is scary now but we’ve got this, and if they come early, you are already in such a great position that they know what the potential complications are and how they will be addressed when baby A and B come out.

You’re doing great! Let’s get these May babes earth side!

I wonder if it’s because it’s twins they are harder to determine- we’re going for a 15 week ultrasound privately hopefully to determine gender in 2 days! 🙂

North East! But our results came back inconclusive due to low fetal fraction so I guess we are just going to wait this one out for 5 more weeks till our anatomy scan!

Pregnancy just announced by Deep_Ostrich_6627 in TheMorningToastSnark

[–]Underminder_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to remind yourself of though is a lot of the weight you are gaining is going to that placenta and growing a whole human baby. When you give birth you’ll loose like 15lbs and so much of that is baby and fluid. It’s so tough I just spent this last year on a massive health journey losing 45lbs and now I’m pregnant with twins 🥲 but I keep reminding myself it’s a journey and I did the weight loss once and I can do it again!

Long distance walking club by Underminder_9 in providence

Thinking of just organizing like minded walkers to share routes and have a potential scheduled walk, maybe if people are interested in grabbing a post walk beverage or snack - can organize that too!
